CIIR participates in the 26th Global Health Conference in Baltimore, United States
Reference unit in rehabilitation highlights Pará on the international stage
The Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR), a government agency of Pará, begins its participation in the World Forum on Person-Centered Care 2025 in Baltimore, United States, this Monday (13). The event, considered one of the most important in the world for promoting person-centered care, brings together professionals, managers, and reference institutions in public health and rehabilitation from various countries.
CIIR is in the process of obtaining Planetree international certification, which recognizes health institutions committed to excellence in care quality and the promotion of person-centered care. This process reinforces the consolidation of the humanized model already adopted by the Center, aligning its practices with the most advanced global references in care and rehabilitation.
The State Secretary of Health (Sespa), Ivetez Vaz, highlighted: "CIIR's participation in the 26th Global Health Conference in Baltimore is an international recognition of the serious and committed work being developed in our state, especially in the area of rehabilitation and person-centered care. The Center's presence at this global forum reinforces our commitment to inclusive public health policies, based on evidence and aligned with the best practices in the world. It is an opportunity to share what we have built and, at the same time, bring new ideas that further strengthen SUS in Pará."
The delegation representing CIIR consists of José Neto, Northern Operational Director of the National Institute for Social and Human Development (INDSH), a social organization that manages the center in partnership with the State Department of Public Health (Sespa); Rejane Xavier, Executive Director of CIIR; Renato Arraes, pediatric orthopedic surgeon and coordinator of the pediatric orthopedics group at CIIR; and Danielle Carvalho, communication advisor for the institution.
Throughout the program, CIIR representatives will participate in lectures, scientific presentations, and exhibitions, where experiences and best management and assistance practices are shared. The event also opens space for knowledge exchange among institutions that have been standing out globally in promoting humanized and evidence-based health.
According to CIIR's management, participation in the meeting reinforces the institution's commitment to align with international trends in care quality and public health innovation. "Being at this event is an opportunity to show how the work done in Pará dialogues with the best practices in the world, reaffirming our commitment to care that values people, science, and results," emphasized Executive Director Rejane Xavier, who also extends her gratitude to the government of Pará, via Sespa.
CIIR's participation in the Planetree Conference for the third time represents another milestone in the Center's trajectory, which consolidates itself as a national reference in rehabilitation and comprehensive care for people with disabilities within the Unified Health System (SUS).
This year, the event takes on special significance by increasing the international visibility of public health, inclusion, and rehabilitation policies developed in the state of Pará. Furthermore, it highlights the leadership of Pará in global agendas, especially those that dialogue with the important international event that will be hosted in Belém next November.
The Planetree World Forum continues until Thursday, October 16, with a program focused on the exchange of experiences and the appreciation of transformative practices that inspire humanization in health services worldwide.
