Department of Education holds meeting with Educational Monitoring Technicians
The event brought together about 70 participants from the Metropolitan Region of Belém, focusing on strategies for preparation for the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) 2025
With the commitment to strengthen student learning and raise educational indicators in the state network, the State Department of Education (Seduc) held a meeting with the Educational Monitoring Technicians (TAP), focusing on strategies for preparation for the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) 2025. The meeting gathered about 70 participants from the Metropolitan Region of Belém.
“The Deputy Secretary of Basic Education held a training meeting with the TAPs from the Metropolitan Region of Belém to strengthen the actions for Saeb 2025. With around 70 participants, the meeting addressed mobilization, pedagogical practices, school performance, student flow, and school management. Didactic materials, formative processes, diagnostic assessments, and simulations were also discussed. The use of data collection instruments in schools, essential for real-time monitoring of actions, was also highlighted,” emphasized Cláudia Ferreira, director of Educational Management.
The program aimed to qualify professionals from the Regional Education Directorates (DREs) of Belém, Ananindeua, and Benevides to act more effectively in supporting schools, contributing to the improvement of student proficiency and the optimization of school flow. The training aimed to align pedagogical practices, share intervention strategies, and reinforce the role of TAPs as articulators of teaching and learning processes.
“We closely monitor performance in schools. Observing how student learning is progressing and seeking improvements is part of our role. We want our students to advance more and more. Therefore, participating in training like this is essential, as it updates us and strengthens our work in school management, in addition to being an opportunity to learn and improve continuously,” stated Maria Celeste dos Santos, TAP at DRE Belém 10.
During the meeting, central themes were discussed, such as the importance of TAP as a pedagogical policy, the Saeb 2025 Caravan panel, routines and monitoring of the schools' action plan, as well as strengthening the culture of assessment in school units. The initiative also aimed to promote collective engagement and commitment to concrete goals, with the performance of students in Saeb as the horizon.
“Our work as TAP goes beyond pedagogical monitoring. We also support the administrative part and the daily school routine, always acting in partnership with the directors, and not as a form of oversight. I like to work with concrete actions, always attentive to the needs of each unit. This collaborative perspective guides our actions, including monitoring the Saeb goals, which is also an essential focus of our work. Participating in moments like this has been a great learning experience, as it enhances our work and contributes to the constant evolution of pedagogical monitoring,” highlighted Silvana Araújo, TAP at DRE Belém 4.
The active participation of TAPs is essential to ensure a more intentional and effective pedagogical action in schools, directly contributing to the quality of public education offered.
