With certificates in hand, 30 participants completed, on Tuesday afternoon (20), the free course of "Ceremony and Event Reception," held at the Integrated ParáPaz Unit for Social Inclusion, in the Marco neighborhood of Belém. With a workload of 40 hours, the training was developed over a week and already opens doors to new opportunities in the job market.

For Brenda de Paula, 38, an event promoter for 20 years, the training was a chance to reaffirm her professional purpose and enhance skills she had already been practicing throughout her career.

“I have been working with events since I was 18 and have always been involved with reception and support. I already knew the practice, but now I had the opportunity to learn the theory and know more about posture, leadership, and organization. The ceremony coordinator is the 'head' of the event; it is necessary to have firmness and, at the same time, elegance to coordinate an entire team harmoniously,” she emphasizes.

The practical experience, combined with theoretical content, also made a difference for Carlos Romeu, 47, a German teacher and enthusiast in the field. “I have worked with ceremony and event reception, but the course showed me essential details like punctuality, attire, and body language. Now I feel more prepared to assemble a team and act with more confidence, especially with a focus on COP 30, which will move the city,” he comments.

The unit coordinator, Denise Souza, closely monitored the students' performance and emphasized the importance of bringing free training like this to the population.
“It is a growing field that demands prepared professionals. With this training, participants leave with a competitive edge.”

During the classes, students learned about the concept of ceremony, the ideal profile of an event professional, as well as good practices in guest service and reception. Posture, personal presentation, communication, and behavior were central points.

For the president of the ParáPaz Foundation, Alberto Teixeira, “training is more than learning. It is about seeking to be better, to surpass oneself. Many of the graduates are already working in events and are now even more prepared to take on this role with professionalism and responsibility. I participate in many events and know how important it is to have qualified people leading this mission.”
