Peace Factories Promote Show in Celebration of International Dance Day
The show brought together classes from the Peace Factories in the Metropolitan Region of Belém in celebration of International Dance Day

In celebration of International Dance Day, the Peace Factories held a special show on Tuesday (29) at the Margarida Schivassapa Theater, in Centur, Belém. The event brought together students from the dance classes of the Peace Factories in the neighborhoods of Cabanagem, Terra Firme, Jurunas, Icuí, and Marituba, as well as invited dance companies.
The stage was filled with a diversity of rhythms, body expressions, and choreographies that enchanted the audience present. The program included performances of contemporary dance, classical ballet, and regional styles, highlighting the talent and dedication of the students served by the cultural projects of the Peace Factories.

Student Maria Eduarda Pinheiro, 14 years old, a ballet student from the Cabanagem Peace Factory, was anxious as it was her first time in a theater. For her, the performance was a moment of overcoming. "I never imagined dancing in such a beautiful theater, with so many people watching. It was emotional, I was nervous, but everything went as rehearsed. Dance helps me to have more confidence. It is very rewarding," she stated.
Carolline Ferreira, 15 years old, highlighted the role of art in her life. "Dancing is a way for me to express myself and feel free. The Cabanagem Peace Factory gave me the opportunity to be part of something bigger, I am very happy to be performing on this stage where great artists have already performed," she shared.
For the Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth de Fátima Braga, the event symbolizes the commitment of the Peace Factories to social transformation. "More than a show, this night shows the power of art as a tool for inclusion. These are young people who find in dance a possibility for growth, self-esteem, and belonging," she affirmed.
Among the audience, Luane Alves, mother of little Clara Valentina, 7 years old, could not hold back her tears upon seeing her daughter perform on stage. "I never thought my daughter would have this chance. Seeing her dancing, happy, confident, was very rewarding. The Peace Factory plays a fundamental role in this, because without it, my daughter would not have access to a ballet class, let alone a performance in a theater. It is a dream come true for us," she shared, emotional.

The show is a reflection of the commitment of the Peace Factories to democratizing access to culture. The initiative from the Secretary of Citizenship Articulation was in partnership with the Cultural Foundation of Pará.
