Seplad takes first place in the Solidarity Blood Donation Gincana, promoted by Hemopa
A total of 37 Seplad employees participated in the gincana and made donations, enabling lives to be saved.
The State Secretariat for Planning and Administration (Seplad) was certified, this Tuesday (25), by the Foundation Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology of Pará (Hemopa), with first place in the State Institution category during the 8th Solidarity Blood Donation Gincana.
On the occasion, the certificate of recognition was presented to Seplad's Public Management analyst, Maricelia Pinheiro, by the president of the Hemopa Foundation, Paulo Bezerra, at the institution's headquarters in Belém.
“I would like to thank all Seplad employees, including collaborators, interns, and outsourced workers, who once again actively participated in such a fundamental action as the Hemopa Solidarity Gincana. Since 2020, Seplad has been committed to this blood donation initiative and, with great pride, has already won first place five times. This year, we had 37 donors, even in the face of challenges posed by the COP30 event and the process of moving to the new building, which ended up preventing the participation of some groups. Still, the commitment of our employees continues to be the great driving force behind these campaigns, ensuring the success of yet another act of solidarity,” highlighted Maricelia Pinheiro.

With the theme “At COP30, Sustain Life. Donate Blood,” Hemopa's initiative aimed to raise awareness and mobilize employees, collaborators, users, and service providers from all secretariats for the act of donating.
“We have 61 years dedicated to the cause of blood donation, an extremely relevant action for our country. Today, we truly celebrate our partners, the donors, the ordinary citizens who come here and perform this gesture of solidarity. But, beyond the celebration and gratitude, this moment also represents the commitment to keep alive the importance of donation, reinforcing the dissemination of this essential act. This effort has been reflected in the Foundation's results, with an annual increase of about 10% in donor participation throughout the State of Pará. The expansion of external campaigns has allowed us to reach municipalities that have never received blood donation actions. Today, we are increasingly present in various regions of the state, with the population participating effectively. We are here to celebrate, thank, and, above all, further stimulate the culture of blood donation in Pará. This is one of our greatest missions,” emphasized Paulo Bezerra.
Hemopa invited state public agencies to join this chain of good, and to account for the points of the gincana, each institution received a unique code in the donor registration, allowing them to identify and sum the bags of blood donated by their participants.
“As a donor for many years, I recognize the great importance of this act. It is a noble and commendable act that should mobilize more people. Closely following my mother's need for donation reinforced my conviction. I feel honored to be a volunteer and, through the secretariat, I continue to be engaged in donation campaigns. The award for Seplad is gratifying and a source of pride for all of us employees,” said Seplad employee Maria de Jesus.
The initiative highlights Seplad's engagement in mobilizing for the campaign and contributes to strengthening Hemopa's blood stocks. The action also emphasizes the relevance of blood donation, an essential practice to meet the demands of the public health network and ensure continuous support for hospital services throughout the State.
