Ideflor-Bio launches online system for scheduling educational visits to the Utinga State Park
The mechanism gathers all the necessary information to organize the visit in one place, making the process more agile, transparent, and efficient.
The new scheduling system for school and institutional visits to the Utinga State Park in Belém is now available. The tool, created by the Institute of Forest Development and Biodiversity of Pará (Ideflor-Bio), aims to facilitate the planning of tours promoted by schools, organizations, and other institutions interested in environmental education activities. The mechanism gathers all the necessary information to organize the visit in one place, making the process more agile, transparent, and efficient.
At the time of scheduling, institutions fill out a complete form with essential data, such as the name of the organization, visitor profile - including public or private institutions, civil society organizations, and companies - as well as the educational modality, if it is a school. Information about the purpose of the visit, number of participants, details of the responsible person, means of transportation used, and contact information for communication are also requested.
The system, located on the official website of the Institute, also features an interactive calendar that displays available dates, confirmed reservations, requests under review, and partially filled periods, allowing the user to easily choose the best time.
Guidelines - In addition, Ideflor-Bio has made available the Guide for Educational Visits to the Utinga State Park, a support material that gathers essential guidelines for the smooth running of activities. The document informs the maximum number of visitors per group, the minimum recommended age, the type of appropriate clothing, guidelines on what to bring, and the ideal footwear for safely navigating the trails. The guide also presents details about the experiences available in the Park, allowing educators and managers to plan activities aligned with their pedagogical objectives.
Among the options offered is the Patauá Trail, where students and visitors explore the Park's biodiversity, observing species of flora and fauna in their natural habitat. The route includes a stop at the Bolonha viewpoint, which provides a privileged view of the Utinga landscapes. Another highly sought-after experience is Birds of Utinga, focused on observing the local avifauna along the main road of the unit, highlighting species such as the southern lapwing and the jacana.
The program also includes the Monkey Trail, which provides direct contact with Amazonian biodiversity and culminates in visits to the Casa da Mata and the Verônica Tembé Memorial, spaces that reinforce the connection between environmental conservation and indigenous cultural preservation. The itinerary "Utinga of the Past: Between Waters and Tracks" takes participants on a historical journey through the old water supply systems and the tracks that integrated the Park with the Belém-Bragança Railway, revealing how nature and urbanization intertwine in the memory of Belém.
Agility - For the tourism expert and environmental analyst at Ideflor-Bio, Deiliany Oliveira, the new mechanism represents a significant advancement in organizing the educational activities promoted in the Park. “It is important to highlight the significance of our educational visit scheduling system at the Utinga State Park. Now, educational institutions can schedule visits directly through the website, in a practical, organized, and fully accessible manner. With the new system, schools will be able to easily view available dates, learn about the types of visits, and identify the trails and activities that best suit their pedagogical objectives,” she emphasized.
She also reinforces that the resource enhances the management of the Park's actions. “In addition to facilitating the process of scheduling visits, the system will also improve our management, allowing us to accurately record how many schools and students we receive throughout the year,” the specialist added.
The manager of the Belém Administrative Region of Ideflor-Bio, Júlio Meyer, emphasizes the positive impact of the initiative to expand access to the Park and strengthen environmental education in the capital. “The new scheduling system is aligned with Ideflor-Bio's commitment to ensuring a safe, organized, and educational experience for all visitors. The tool modernizes our processes and strengthens the role of the Utinga State Park as a space for learning, leisure, and connection with nature,” he stated.
Service - Schools and institutions interested in conducting visits can access the system directly on the Institute's website or request additional information through the contacts (91) 98510-8307 or by email: visite.uc.rmb@gmail.com.
