On this Friday (3), the Melvin Jones Municipal Elementary School in Uruará, in the Xingu Integration Region, received an educational action aimed at children aged seven to eleven. The meeting, promoted by military personnel from the 49th Battalion of the Military Police, in partnership with the school's coordination, aimed to bring the corporation closer to the school community and raise social awareness among students.

During the activity, topics such as the role of the Military Police and the prevention of child abuse were addressed, reinforcing the importance of the partnership between society and the corporation, as well as encouraging children's trust in calling on military personnel in vulnerable situations.

“We were called by the school's administration due to the upcoming Children's Day celebration. On this occasion, we were able to demonstrate, through lectures and educational actions, the importance of the Military Police not only in protecting society but also in the social development of each citizen,” highlighted Lieutenant Gutembergue, an officer of the 49th BPM and one of the speakers.

In addition to directly responding to incidents, the Military Police of Pará also invests in building a safer society through active prevention, with lectures and educational programs. Among the initiatives, the Educational Program for Resistance to Drugs and Violence (Proerd) and PMzito stand out, contributing to social awareness among children and adolescents throughout the State.
