Marajó School Integrates Technology into the Learning Process and Enhances Studies
The use of Chromebooks, provided by the State Government, innovates the teaching method for students and teachers

The use of Chromebooks, delivered by the Government of Pará through the Secretary of Education (Seduc), has enabled innovation and added dynamism to the classes of the state public network. In the Marajó archipelago, the Gasparino Batista da Silva State School of Elementary and Secondary Education, located in Soure, has utilized this technological resource as a pedagogical strategy.
With the approach of the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) test, the teachers of the educational unit have applied the equipment in an integrated manner with the curricular components, promoting interactive classes that stimulate reading, writing, text interpretation, and logical reasoning, aiming to expand and enhance the students' competencies and skills.

Linked to the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) of Cachoeira do Arari, the work carried out by the school management has the support of teachers, directors, and the entire team of the educational unit who believe in the power of innovation. On the eve of the Saeb, the tool has ensured support for students.
“We are preparing our students for the Saeb, but above all, for life. Technology is the bridge that connects dedication, knowledge, and achievements,” emphasizes school manager Odilea Barbosa.
In the 9th grade of Elementary Education, teacher Adrielle Spada worked on how students are experiencing new ways of learning Mathematics. "The work focused on the study of the net of geometric solids, a topic often considered difficult for students when worked on only in the book or on the board, and gained a new perspective with the use of Dynamic Geometry,” said the teacher.
Through the GeoGebra website, students were able to manipulate and visualize solids in three dimensions, following their respective nets and establishing clearer relationships between spatial and flat shapes. As part of the activity, the teacher also organized interactive tests on Google Forms, which allowed real-time assessment of the class's performance and identification of advances and difficulties. In addition, there was integration with the Complementary Activity Notebook, ensuring the articulation between the use of digital resources and the didactic materials structured by the network, strengthening the consolidation of knowledge objects.

The work carried out is related to the Mathematics descriptor of the SAEB Reference Matrix, considered one of the priorities by the state network. “More than a digital tool, the activity contributes not only to the practical and visual understanding of concepts but also to the development of skills assessed in external exams. In this way, students have the opportunity to better prepare for the Saeb, expanding their competencies and raising the expected performance of the school and the network,” highlights teacher Adrielle.
The initiative reinforces the commitment of the Gasparino Batista da Silva School to the quality of education and innovation, promoting experiences that unite theory, practice, and technology. The conscious use of Chromebooks and digital platforms has awakened greater engagement from students, bringing the study of Mathematics closer in a more interactive and meaningful way.
For student Gabriel Cruz, the new experience provided the opportunity to access this type of technology outside of school. “I found it important to spark our interest outside the classroom and help the school improve its grades. The teacher teaches about handling the Chromebook and how the figures are assembled, really cool to distract. Also, we saw our test score right away, which is great,” reflected Gabriel.
