On this Wednesday (17), the management of the State Department of Education (Seduc), led by the head, Ricardo Sefer, conducted a technical visit to two more Regional Education Directorates (DREs), located in western Pará. The municipalities of Itaituba and Óbidos are part of the institutional schedule aimed at dialoguing with directorates and the entire school community about actions and strategies for the better development of education in Pará.

During the agenda, the Secretary of Education participated in meetings with school managers from both regions and inspected educational units to understand the reality, identify the main demands, and contribute to resolving the needs that ensure well-being and, consequently, quality of learning.

According to the secretary, these institutional agendas focus on bringing management closer to the reality of schools and building solutions together with regional and school managers.

“Our commitment is to closely understand the needs of each territory and, based on dialogue with leaders and school teams, define strategies that contribute to the advancement of public education in Pará,” highlighted Ricardo Sefer.

The DRE of Itaituba serves the municipalities of Jacareacanga, Novo Progresso, Placas, Rurópolis, and Trairão, being responsible for 22 state schools.

On this occasion, the Maranata School, the State Full-Time School Professor Maria das Graças Escócio Cerqueira, the State Full-Time School Professor Maria do Socorro Jacob, and the State High School Benedito Corrêa de Sousa were visited.

Similarly, at the DRE of Óbidos, the secretary visited the State Schools Professor Maurício Hamoy and São José.

This is the second visit made this week, totaling the eighth Regional Education Directorate since the beginning of the management. In total, there are 40 Education Directorates that are expected to receive a visit from the Secretary of Education by the end of this year.
