Government of Pará trains over 390 school lunch workers from the public education network
Food handling and healthy eating were topics addressed in order to improve the preparation of school meals in state and municipal public schools

The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), held a training on food handling on Saturday (13), gathering 397 people who work directly in the production of school meals in the state and municipal education networks. The event took place at the Salesian School of Work, in the Pedreira neighborhood, in Belém.
The training was conducted by technicians, including food engineer Izabela Athaíde, Norberto Félix, and Irlan. The training covered food handling and healthy eating, aiming to enhance the preparation of school meals in the public education schools of Pará.
“I really liked everything I learned here. I leave satisfied, as I will now put it into practice at the school where I work, ensuring a higher quality snack for everyone,” said participant Socorro Santos.

The Government of Pará invests in training and prioritizes the well-being of students and education professionals. “Training is a tool for promotion that fosters the development of our State. This action is one of our priorities, as the lunch workers are part of a very important area, which is education. Therefore, we always seek ways to bring more information and knowledge in the execution of these essential actions,” emphasized Seaster head, Inocencio Gasparim.
At the end of the course, all participants received a food handler's card.
