Free registrations for the visual arts workshops that will take place on September 18, 23, and 25, and from October 1 to 3, in Marabá, in southeastern Pará, start this Tuesday (9). To participate, it is necessary to fill out the available electronic form. The target audience is people on the autism spectrum and their companions.

The creative painting workshops are part of the Círio Iluminado program, a project carried out with support from the Cultural Foundation of Pará, through the Semear Program. "Semear is one of the main public policies for promoting culture in Pará, responsible for funding artistic, cultural, and research projects throughout the State, and it grows more each year," emphasizes the president of the Cultural Foundation of Pará, Thiago Miranda.

Thiago Miranda also informs that "in 2021, the limit was R$ 5 million. Now, in 2025, this amount has jumped to R$ 25 million, consolidating the state's commitment to promoting Pará's cultural production."

The classes will take place at the Association of Autists of Marabá - institute (AMA). In addition to the workshops, there will be an exhibition of the works produced at Partage Shopping Marabá and the installation of reception areas for people with disabilities (PCD) and companions to accompany the festivities.

"At the end of the workshop, the canvases produced will go to the event square of Partage Shopping Marabá, where they will become part of a public exhibition about the autistic person's perspective on the symbols of Círio. It will definitely be an interesting result," guarantees the project director, Ruan Matheus.

Inclusion - The inclusion project integrates into the religious celebration, which attracts about 300,000 faithful to the city and seeks to invest in art as a tool to bring those who are marginalized from these events to the stage of protagonism and belonging to a culture rich in history and local customs. Using painting as a language and means of non-verbal expression, integrating culture, faith, and inclusion in the workshops conducted.

The project's initiatives bring accessibility into the Círio de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré in Marabá, with the installation of an accessibility box for up to 20 PCDs and their companions. According to the organizers, the project shares the desire for everyone's participation with more respect, dignity, and equity.
