With a project that combines creativity, reading, writing, and communication, the Jarbas Passarinho State School in Belém won the "3rd Contest Me and the Law of Radio Programs" promoted by the Chamber of Deputies. The podcast "Rádio Passarinho - wings of education," developed by 5th-grade students, was the winner of the Rádio Câmara and Plenarinho competition.

The school's initiative aims to integrate educational practices with the use of communication tools to provide a formative experience that combines curricular content with creative expression and student protagonism. For the contest, student Bruna Reis was chosen to represent the project with the work "Fake News: be careful with what you believe!" in the category for ages 10 to 14.

For the student, the result is a source of pride. "I wrote the work that competed in the contest, and it was amazing to participate. This award is an achievement for me, for my school, and for all of us at Rádio Passarinho," Bruna added.

Encouragement - The teacher who conceived the project, Benedito Machado, highlighted the importance of the initiative for the students' development. "We needed to rebuild learning to help students who need to read and write. I was already working with the School Radio Project, so I decided to incorporate the idea into the classroom because this project makes the child have to write, discuss, analyze writing, read to record the programs, in other words, by producing the program, all of this is stimulated. We have examples of students who were shyer, who needed to improve more, and with the School Radio Project, they developed, gained confidence, and visibly improved their reading," assured Benedito Machado.

With the aim of encouraging and valuing the production of youth radio works related to the laws governing the country and their impact on the lives of children and adolescents, the contest "Me and the Law" selects projects produced by children and adolescents aged 10 to 17 for broadcast on the program "15 minutes of Citizenship" from Rádio Câmara.

The award ceremony for the 3rd Contest "Me and the Law of Radio Programs" is scheduled for September 25 in Brasília (DF), when the students will receive a certificate of award. In addition, the winning works will be broadcast in a special edition of the program "15 minutes of Citizenship," and the students will participate in interviews and/or recordings of other programs from Rádio Câmara, TV Câmara, and Plenarinho.
