With over 96% of the territory of Pará already covered, the ‘Caravana Saeb’ arrives at another municipality, this time, Itaituba, in the southwest of Pará. The meeting brought together the technical team from the Regional Education Directorate (DRE), as well as directors and vice-directors of the jurisdictional state schools. Organized by the State Department of Education (Seduc), the action focused on the educational landscape, analyzing results and planning strategies for improving proficiency and school flow, in preparation for the Basic Education Assessment System.

The Caravana's program began with a presentation of the initiative's objectives. Next, a Live Panel was held, sharing local good practices, featuring the participation of two school directors from the DRE of Itaituba. Among them was Kátia Aguiar, director of the State School Governor Eurico Valle, in Rurópolis.

“The school structured strategic actions for Saeb 2025, prioritizing teachers with practical skills in Portuguese Language and Mathematics and the use of recomposition material at planned moments. There was integration among the four areas of knowledge and organization of reinforcements with goals linked to grades and participation. We created monthly motivational actions, such as contests and visual campaigns, aimed at mobilizing the school community and encouraging students. Sports and cultural projects also serve as incentives, with performance and attendance criteria. The management conducts frequent monitoring of classes and reinforcements. Active search is effective, ensuring student engagement. We believe that, with the joint effort of the school team, the Eurico Valle School has great potential to achieve even better performance in Saeb 2025,” said the director.

Subsequently, the meeting included a technical presentation focusing on the current scenario, analysis of results, and strategies for improving learning, especially aimed at Saeb 2025. After this moment, a controlled mediation was conducted, with the participation of technicians and directors.

“Our pedagogical work starts from data analysis and focus on descriptors, especially in Portuguese Language and Mathematics. With the support of Seduc and the use of Prepara and Prepara Mais materials, we have developed actions aimed at recomposing learning, directly and strategically addressing gaps. The unit achieved an excellent result in Ideb, which is a source of pride for our community. This shows that, with planning, engagement, and proper use of materials, it is possible to achieve good results, even in the face of difficulties,” says José Ednaldo da Costa, from the State School Professor Jussara Terezinha.

In the second moment of the program, the objective of the Caravana was revisited, and an institutional video was shown. Then, the dynamic “Get Connected to Saeb, DRE Itaituba” was conducted, aimed at engagement, flow, and proficiency.

The ‘Caravana Saeb 2025’ constitutes a formative moment focused on qualifying the educational leadership of the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) and the state schools that are part of the DREs. The action has already served 2,003 educational leaders, including managers, technical teams from the DREs, directors, vice-directors, and school secretaries.
