Training Course for New Military Firefighters Expands the Corporation's Operations in Pará
With ongoing classes, the State reaches 10,000 new public security servers in Pará
The Training Course for Soldiers currently prepares over 400 new civil servants for the Military Fire Department of Pará (CBMPA). The initiative includes subjects related to military routine, basic institutional legislation, as well as professional subjects, such as civil defense, aquatic rescues, high-altitude and land rescues.
The training is comprehensive and also includes urban and forest fire fighting; operation with hazardous materials, among the various areas in which the military operates. The preparation is developed by the Department of Culture, Education, and Research of the Corporation, focused on strengthening the work of agents in Pará.
“There are various practical and theoretical activities within these subjects. After four months of the course, the student begins to take supervised services as a crew member, communicator, and sentinel, so that they can start to understand the routines they will have during the military life they chose to follow. We know that this is just the beginning and that the preparation of the military needs to be constant, always keeping up with technologies and the modernization of equipment and processes,” emphasizes Lieutenant Colonel Thiago Carvalho, commander of the Training, Improvement, and Specialization Center (CFAE) of the Fire Department.
Upon completing the course, the military will be ready to serve the corporation. They will be distributed to barracks and operational units. Student Pedro Leal participates in the Training Course for Soldiers of the Fire Department and says that the instructions have been productive.
"I am learning various things that will make me a good professional, with responsibility and discipline. I am really enjoying the course, the camaraderie with my platoon mates, and the routine. Very eager to work as a military firefighter and fulfill my role in society,” assures student Pedro Leal.
Currently, over 1,100 new agents of the State's security forces, including firefighters and military police, are participating in training courses. With these classes, the State reaches 10,000 new public security servers in Pará. The investment is strategic and has direct impacts on the well-being of the population of Pará and the appreciation of the military.
“A State with dimensions and characteristics like Pará demands a constant and growing fire and emergency security service. Incorporating a significant new contingent of qualified and trained professionals is crucial for us to truly provide the return that society deserves. So, these civil servants ensure an upgrade to the activities of the corporation,” concludes Lieutenant Colonel Thiago Carvalho.
