The young talents from Pará put on a true show at the 2025 Brazilian Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championship, winning five medals, including one gold, two silver, one bronze, and one participation medal. The event, promoted by the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Confederation (CBJJ), brought together around 3,000 children aged between 4 and 15 from all regions of the country. The competition took place on June 14 and 15 at the José Corrêa Sports Gym in Barueri (SP), with free entry upon donation of 1 kg of food. The athletes received support from the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Sport and Leisure (Seel).

Among the main names is Matheus Guimarães, 14 years old, who became champion in the Children's Youth 2 category, featherweight up to 48 kg, after winning three fights. "Pride is the right word. Winning was a duty fulfilled," declared Matheus, who also highlighted the importance of Seel's support, especially for those coming from the countryside. "This support is of utmost importance, especially for us who are from Salinópolis." His brother, Pedro Guimarães, 12 years old, won silver in the Children's 3 lightweight up to 44 kg, after two thrilling fights. The brothers' father emphasized: "I am a father, coach, and, above all, a supporter of a better future for our children."

Another highlight was Elyrrana de Assis Batista, 14 years old, who won the silver medal in the Youth 2 category. "It was an extraordinary, inexplicable feeling. Only those who participated know what this is," said Elyrrana. Her father added: "It is gratifying to see her on the podium carrying the Seel and Pará flags at the biggest championship in Brazil."

Young Kemilly Caroline, 11 years old, secured bronze in the Youth 1 category, moving her family to tears as she stepped onto the podium. "Seel's support is essential. Without it, it would be unfeasible to take our children to represent the State. Seeing my daughter with our flag on the podium fills us with pride," highlighted Kemilly's father.

In the Mini 2 category up to 27 kg, Rúbia Palmeirim, 8 years old, placed fifth, receiving a participation medal. For the family, the support received was essential: "It is a great incentive for athletes from the periphery, who face difficulties to reach major events. It is the realization of dreams."

Debutant Izabela Delgado, in the Youth 2 category, did not make it to the podium this edition, but celebrated the privilege of representing the State. "It is always a pride to wear the colors of Pará in any competition." Izabela's mother defined the feeling: "It is indescribable to see my daughter elevating the name of our State in major championships."

Isaac Vinícius Lima Muniz, 13 years old, made his debut at the Brazilian Kids in the Youth A category, orange belt, middleweight (52 kg). Although he did not win a medal, he showed a lot of grit and dedication. "Representing Pará is a great source of pride. I fought with courage, thinking of the dream of many young people from our State," said the athlete. His father reinforced: "Sport transforms lives. Seel's support makes all the difference and gives us pride to see our children on a national stage."

Parents, athletes, and coaches unanimously recognized the importance of Seel's support in turning dreams into reality and ensuring that Pará was well represented in the national sports scene. The encouragement from the State Government has been essential for strengthening grassroots sports and opening pathways for young talents on the mat.
