After almost 20 years, Remo and Paysandu face each other again in the B series of the Brazilian Championship in a match held this Saturday (21) at 6:30 PM at the Olympic Stadium of Pará Journalist "Edgar Proença", the Mangueirão. To maintain security and ensure tranquility, the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), in conjunction with state and municipal agencies, coordinates a strong security scheme employing 1,431 security agents. The match is valid for the 13th round of Series B, and the expectation is that around 47,500 fans will attend. The stadium gates and parking lot open from 3:30 PM.

The actions highlighted for this Saturday (21) aim to ensure the preservation of public order, maintaining the rights of individuals and property, ensuring the integrity and safety of citizens. The acting Secretary of Public Security, Colonel PM Sérgio Neves, outlines some of these actions to be developed.

“The RExPA event was planned by the Security System agencies in advance, and all policing will be carried out with more than 1,400 public security agents, each acting within their competence. The Military Police is responsible for the ostensive policing. Our Air Group will also conduct aerial patrols using drone monitoring. Regarding mobility, the agencies focused on traffic issues, Segbel, through the Traffic Department, the Highway Patrol Battalion, and the Traffic Department (DETRAN) will carry out traffic policing with guidance and inspections. It is worth noting that all this apparatus, this strategy we are going to implement is to bring tranquility to families, the people who will support their teams,” said Colonel Sérgio Neves.

According to the secretary, there will also be undercover policing, which will act not only against scalpers but also small groups operating at the turnstiles of the Mangueirão, in order to commit small cell phone thefts.

“We take this opportunity to tell fans going to the field to bring only the necessary materials. We will have the Fan Protection and Major Events Police Station that will be there to receive cases, not only for occurrence attendance but also for cases that may initiate a procedure and its drafting,” he advised.

Security scheme - The security strategy developed includes reinforcement in policing and inspection of access roads, maintenance of order and security in the stadium; traffic flow management to ensure fluidity; agility in attending to the population if there is a need to register occurrences at the Fan and Major Events Police Station and the Women's Assistance Police Station, and the guarantee of the right to go and come for all with tranquility.

The operational support begins at 11 AM, with preventive policing and reinforcement at 3:30 PM when access to the parking gates and the stadium will be released for the public. The Operational Control and Command Center (CCO) of the Mangueirão will gather the focal points of each force, from where it will be possible to monitor the images from the cameras installed in the stadium and its surroundings, thus speeding up responses to operational demands, if necessary.

Street vendor area - The Secretary of Security, Public Order, and Mobility of Belém (Segbel) and the Municipal Guard of Belém will be responsible for the guidance, control, and inspection of street vendors in the external areas of the stadium. Two areas have been planned for the permitted concentration of these professionals. On side B, the sidewalk in front of the Medical Legal Institute (IML) and the access to the Mounted Police Regiment (RPMONT). On side A, the sidewalk in front of the Mangueirinho will be designated for this purpose.

The Municipal Secretary of Economic Development and teams from the Public Order of SEGBEL will have the support of the Municipal Guard of Belém and the Military Police to control and inspect the areas designated for street vendors, preventing them from occupying places that jeopardize the safety of people and traffic fluidity by positioning themselves in prohibited areas.

Monitoring - The Operational Command Center (CCO) will be activated with the aim of concentrating the monitoring of images from about 800 cameras installed in the stadium and its surroundings, and also speeding up security demands. The Center is located in the box sector of the stadium, on side B.

There is a new Security Totem installed at the entrance of the West Parking Lot (P) near Gate F, a strategic location for monitoring by the Integrated Operations Center (CIOp).

Police Units - The units installed at the Mangueirão, such as the Event Police Battalion, responsible for preserving public order at major events, will be fully operational in coordinating the ostensive actions of the Military Police troops, as well as the Fan Protection and Major Events Police Station and the Specialized Women's Assistance Police Station, which will ensure service and agility in registering occurrences, if necessary.

Traffic – With the action of the Traffic Department, Highway Police, and SEGBEL, there will be organization and fluidity of traffic, aiming to ensure road safety. The agencies highlight some changes:
• On the Augusto Montenegro highway, the BRT will be closed from Rua da Marinha to the entrance of the Guilherme Paraense Gymnasium “Mangueirinho”;
• Drivers traveling towards Entroncamento - Icoaraci should stay in the right lane and, at the traffic light of Alameda ‘Mangueirinho,’ may access the BRT to reach parking Lot A through the gates of Alameda Mangueirinho and the Mangueirão Parking Gate from the side of Mangueirinho;
• Drivers traveling towards Icoaraci - Entroncamento may access the three gates on side A;
• On Centenário Avenue from Júlio Cesar Avenue to Mangueirão Avenue (Parking Gate F) will operate in one direction, and Mangueirão Avenue (Parking Gate F) to the Augusto Montenegro Highway will operate in both directions with access only for passenger vehicles.

Combating sexual harassment
Segup will also develop actions aimed at protecting women, through teams from the Directorate of Public Policies and Social Prevention (DPS), with the dissemination of the “Do Not Stay Silent” protocol and reporting channels such as the Virtual Women's Police Station and the Women's Assistance Totem. The educational approach to fans will highlight the importance of reporting and combating sexual harassment in public spaces.

Integration - The planned operation involves teams from Segup, through the Operational and Criminal Intelligence and Analysis secretariats, Graesp and Ciop; Military and Civil Police; Detran; Military Fire Brigade and Seap; as well as other state agencies such as Seel, federal agencies such as the Federal Police, and also municipal agencies, such as the Municipal Guard and Segbel.
