The Fiscal Education Program carried out another action on Tuesday (17), this time at the Usinas da Paz in Cabanagem and Bengui. The theme of the discussion circle "Let's Talk About Citizenship?" was "Tax and Citizenship: Essential Connections".

“The young people participated enthusiastically, bringing their opinions and reflections on the topic. At the end, they created an origami with questions and answers about fiscal citizenship, making the learning process lighter and more interactive. We remain steadfast in our purpose of bringing citizenship and fiscal education to the communities,” said Zilda Benjamin, coordinator of the State Fiscal Education Program of Pará.

The activity at the Usina da Cabanagem involved about 38 students from the Antônio Valente State School, accompanied by teacher Alan Divino and local community members. The action was led by facilitators Mauro Pontes and Marinéa Carvalho, both fiscal education disseminators from the Department of Finance (Sefa).

One of the participants was Valdinet Matos, an employee of the Usina da Cabanagem. "The fiscal education discussion circle was productive for me. I commented that if I had said this when I was a teenager, from 4th to 8th grade, I would have learned much more and not with great difficulty. I found it wonderful and hope we have more classes like this here at the Usina da Cabanagem."

Bengui – Also, on Tuesday afternoon, the Discussion Circle took place at the Usina da Paz in Bengui, with the theme "Corruption: what does it have to do with me?", attended by 29 people. The facilitators were Vitor Macau, a tax auditor from the Department of Finance, and Suzane Abreu, an external control auditor from the State Court of Accounts (TCE).

Vitor Macau and Suzane Abreu led a dynamic and interactive chat. “The students actively participated, bringing opinions, questions, and experiences from their daily lives, reflecting on each person's role in building a more ethical and responsible society,” reported the coordinator of the Fiscal Education Program.

The event was attended by Sub-Lieutenant PM Nelson, responsible for coordinating the School of Life team, as well as civilian volunteers who accompanied and supported the activity.

The action at Usipaz is part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Fiscal Education Program in Pará and involved young participants from the School of Life, a project coordinated by the Military Fire Brigade of Pará.
