Cocoa and Chocolate Fair opens this Thursday (5) with over 300 exhibitors
The program also includes Flor Pará and will run until next Sunday (8) at the Hangar Convention Center in Belém

With the participation of over 300 cocoa producers and the exhibition of Amazonian plants and flowers, the Cocoa and Chocolate Fair Amazon and Flor Pará will open this Thursday night (5) in Belém. The program will run until next Sunday (8) at the Hangar Convention Center, serving as a true showcase to present to the public, five months before the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), the results of good practices of sustainable economic models adopted by farmers in Pará.
Organized by the Government of the State of Pará and the Faepa/Senar System (Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Pará/National Rural Learning Service), the Fair will bring together exhibitors, local, national, and international brands, including representatives from other countries that are part of the Amazon region. The technical program will feature panels and renowned speakers, expanding the debate on sustainable production, innovation, and bioeconomy.

The preparations for the program are in the final phase, and gradually the capital of Pará is registering the arrival of cocoa farmers from different regions of Integration of Pará. This is the case of caravans from the municipalities of Medicilândia, Altamira, Uruará (in the Xingu Integration Region), and Novo Repartimento (Lago Tucuruí Integration Region).

Among the exhibitors participating in the program is fine cocoa and chocolate producer Robson Brogni from Medicilândia. He believes that the event will be a great opportunity to present to the public the variety of products that use cocoa as a raw material.
“We are bringing many products, a lot of good things in our luggage. I am sure it will be a wonderful event, organized with mastery, and the expectation is fantastic; we will only have positive feedback on the way back,” highlighted Robson Brogni, directly from Medicilândia.
Opportunities - The Secretary of Agricultural Development and Fishing, Giovanni Queiroz, will be at the official opening of the event this Thursday, accompanied by the team from the Cocoa Productive Chain Development Program (Procacau).

Giovanni Queiroz is also the president of the management council of the Cocoa Support Fund of Pará (Funcacau). "The event will be of great importance not only to stimulate the economy surrounding cocoa and chocolate and ornamental flowers and plants but also to show the public the cocoa and the derivatives produced from cultivation through agroforestry systems (SAFs),” he said.
Pará has about 32,000 cocoa producers, and the vast majority are family farmers.
In addition to the Cocoa Fair, Funcacau will also finance the International Chocolate and Cocoa Festival, from the 26th to the 29th of this month, in Altamira.

The president of the Cocoa Sector Chamber, Maria Goreti Gomes, states that Pará has established itself as a national reference in productivity per area, income generation, and balance between economic development and forest preservation.
“The production model adopted in the state, which is the Agroforestry System, proves that it is possible to grow sustainably, valuing generations of cocoa farmers and the standing forest,” highlights Maria Goreti.
Service - The complete program can be accessed on the Sedap website and on the Instagram profile @feiradocacau.
