The team of inspectors from the Department of Finance assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Tapajós, in Baixo Amazonas, seized 935 automotive tires without the collection of ICMS due to tax substitution. The seizure occurred this Tuesday (3), and the goods were valued at R$ 284,533.89.

The seizure of the tires occurred in conjunction with the integrated institutions of the Óbidos River Base. "A vessel coming from Manaus-AM destined for Pará was approached, and 935 tires without the collection of ICMS were found on it. It was verified that part of the goods had an internal operation invoice in Amazonas, that is, from Manaus to Manaus, while another part was destined for a company in Castanhal. Given the irregularity, three Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up totaling R$150,121.04," said the coordinator of the Tapajós unit, Roberto Mota.

Sefa also seized 20 tons of uniforms for service companies

The Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Araguaia, from the State Department of Finance of Pará (Sefa), on the PA-447 highway, km 15, in Conceição do Araguaia, seized 20 tons of uniforms (pants, shirts, boots) and personal protective equipment, which left Taubaté (SP), destined for São Luís (MA). The seizure occurred on Monday (2), in the southeastern region of Pará, and the goods were valued at R$ 539,534.26.

"The driver of a truck presented invoices for the uniforms. However, in the complementary information of the document, it was stated that the goods would be delivered to a warehouse in Parauapebas (PA). This is material for use by a service company. But no fiscal document intended for Pará was presented, nor a service provision contract in the State," informed the coordinator of the tax unit, Renato Couto.

A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up totaling R$ 154,705.16, referring to tax and fine for not collecting the Differential Rate of ICMS (Difal) to the State of Pará, which was collected and the goods released.

Machines – Also, on Monday (2), at the tax post in the city of São Geraldo do Araguaia, a vehicle transporting goods from Manaus-AM destined for Marabá-PA was approached. The vehicle was carrying four industrial washing machines, valued at R$ 105,000.

After document analysis, it was found that the taxpayer failed to correctly collect the Differential Rate of ICMS (Difal) for goods destined for the final consumer. A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up, with a total value of R$ 22,050.00, referring to tax and fine. The Term was paid and the goods released.
