ParáPaz Foundation conducts training in Breves to strengthen the protection of children, adolescents, and women
The action reinforced the importance of integration between different sectors of society to ensure more efficient and welcoming support for victims

The municipality of Breves, in the Marajó archipelago, received another important initiative from the ParáPaz Foundation aimed at strengthening the protection network for children, adolescents, and women in situations of social vulnerability.
The technical team from the Social Policy Directorate and the Women's Coordination of the institution conducted the IV Training for Strengthening the System of Guarantee of Rights for Children and Adolescents on Thursday and Friday (22 and 23) at the Dr. João Messias dos Santos Professional Development and Education Center (Cedep).
With the theme "Immersion: paths to protection," and the sub-theme "Confronting violence against children and adolescents is everyone's duty," the meeting gathered around 100 participants. Among the highlights of the program, social worker Naiara Brandão's lecture addressed the challenges and perspectives of the protection network in responding to child and adolescent sexual violence.

Lawyer Patrícia Potiguar, who serves as the Women's Coordinator, also spoke about the role of the Guardianship Council in coordinating with the intersectoral network, highlighting that integration between different sectors makes joint action faster, more effective, and aligned in confronting rights violations.
"Training the protection network is essential to ensure the effective defense of the rights of children and adolescents. It helps clarify the functions and responsibilities of the Council, as many professionals (social workers, psychologists, educators, health professionals, etc.) have doubts or misconceptions about what is the responsibility of the Guardianship Council," she said.

For the Director of Social Policies, Liani Dias, active listening and joint work are fundamental in confronting rights violations. "Being here in Breves reaffirms our commitment to every child, adolescent, and woman in the region. Protecting is everyone's duty, and the ParáPaz Foundation is here to strengthen this network with dialogue, training, and presence," she stated.
At the closing on Friday (23), a case study and an open dialogue with local network representatives were promoted, creating a space for listening and collective learning.
