Estação das Docas is one of the spaces that integrate the "Jaguar Parade Belém 2025", an exhibition that is transforming the capital of Pará into a true open-air gallery and that anticipates the atmosphere of COP30 in the city. The tourist complex houses five of the 50 jaguar sculptures created by Pará artists, which unite art, culture, and environmental awareness.

Work: Corpo fechado/ Artist: Thay Petit

Of the 50 sculptures on display, 38 were created by artists from Belém, two by artists from São Luís (MA), and ten are re-presentations from previous editions held in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Florianópolis, and international cities such as New York, Cali, and Paris, where the Jaguar Parade was part of the programming for the 2024 Olympic Games. The pieces, made of fiberglass and life-size of the species (1.8 m), make up the exhibition that remains open until November 30.

The works displayed at Estação das Docas are: “Jaguar Maciota”, by Jocatos; “Encantado”, by Elieni Tenório; “Forças Amazônidas”, by Tia Ireny; “Corpo Fechado”, by Thay Petit; and “Amazônia Viva”, by Laris. Each piece with a unique painting translates, in its own way, the symbolic strength of the jaguar, considered the ambassador of Brazilian biodiversity and the importance of preserving its natural habitat in the Amazon.

Curated by Vânia Leal, the "Jaguar Parade Belém 2025" also highlights the female Amazonian protagonism and has as godmothers Gaby Amarantos, Fafá de Belém, and Isabelle Nogueira.

The five works installed along the waterfront of Estação das Docas can be seen by the public until November 30. At the end of the exhibition, the works will be auctioned, and all proceeds will be donated to institutions dedicated to the preservation of the jaguar and the Amazon rainforest.

The exhibition is supported by the Social Organization Pará 2000, which manages Estação das Docas.
