Sefa seizes two hydraulic excavators used in mining
The invoices presented did not have highlighted ICMS. There is also no record of the machines entering any inspection post in Pará.
At the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Tapajós, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), located in the municipality of Óbidos, in the Lower Amazon Integration Region, two hydraulic excavators used in mining, valued at R$ 1,580,000.00, were seized this Wednesday (29).
“The Military Police of the State of Pará forwarded to the Tapajós Coordination two invoices regarding the hydraulic excavators, indicating issuance by a company based in the municipality of São José do Rio Preto (SP). However, the address of the issuer stated on the invoices indicates the address in the municipality of Buritizal (SP), which diverges from the registration with the Federal Revenue of Brazil (RFB). Another relevant fact is that both invoices do not have highlighted ICMS, and there is no record of the entry of the goods at any inspection post in the State of Pará,” informed coordinator Roberto Mota.
After the machines were retained, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued for the collection of the ICMS Differential Rate (Difal), in the amount of R$ 154,840.00, “since the recipients are individuals and, therefore, final consumers,” added the coordinator.
