Government of Pará certifies 697 professionals in Salinópolis through Capacita COP30
Trainings expand opportunities in the Caeté region and strengthen tourism, the local economy, and preparation for COP30
The Government of Pará, through the Secretary of Science, Technology and Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet), certified this Tuesday (28) another 697 participants of the Capacita COP30 Program in the municipality of Salinópolis, in the Caeté region. The initiative is part of the State's actions for the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in Belém in November 2025.
Since the launch of the program in May 2024, more than 35,000 people have been qualified in strategic areas such as tourism, gastronomy, infrastructure, and security. This was the third certification ceremony held in Salinópolis, consolidating the municipality as a professional training hub in the northeastern region of Pará.
Qualification with impact beyond COP30
During the certificate delivery, the program coordinator, Andrey Rabelo, highlighted the social and economic reach of the initiative. “Each certificate delivered represents a new opportunity, one more step in valuing our people and strengthening the local economy. Although the program was designed to meet the demands of COP30, its impact goes far beyond the event. The knowledge acquired by the participants remains, driving tourism, gastronomy, and the entire productive chain of Salinópolis and the Salgado region. This is the great mission of Sectet and the State Government: to promote sustainable development, generating qualification, income, and pride for the people of Pará,” he stated.
Experiences that transform lives
In the Caeté region, the courses offered included training in Basic and Advanced English, Waiter and Waitress Training, Artificial Intelligence, and Event Production, with a total of 29 classes completed.
Student Ronaldo de Jesus, from the Advanced English course, shared how the experience contributed to his personal and professional growth.
“Participating in the program was a transformative experience. Before, I saw English only as a difficult subject, but today I understand that it is an open door to new opportunities. Learning another language broadened my worldview and made me believe even more in my professional potential. Now, I feel prepared to go further and seek opportunities that once seemed distant,” he reported.
Businesswoman Elcimar Del Castilo, who works in the hotel sector, participated in the training in Artificial Intelligence and highlighted the applicability of the content.
“I was amazed to discover how much Artificial Intelligence can facilitate our daily lives. With the course, I learned tools that help me optimize time and make my work routine much more productive. Expanding my knowledge about AI was a turning point, and now I can see new ways to apply technology practically and efficiently,” she said.
With this stage, the Capacita COP30 reaches its 13th and final offering of courses, consolidating a public policy that has left a concrete legacy of training and income generation throughout the state.
