Show ‘Brazilian and Paraense Rhythms’ enchants audience at Theatro da Paz in Belém
The performance was led by the Amazônia Jazz Band under the direction of the principal conductor Eduardo Lima, with a special appearance by singer Sandra Duailibe
The audience that filled Theatro da Paz on the night of last Monday, the 27th, enjoyed the show “Brazilian and Paraense Rhythms,” full of hits from Paraense and national music, led by the Amazônia Jazz Band under the direction of principal conductor Eduardo Lima.
Paraense singer Sandra Duailibe made a special appearance with the Big Band performing the classics “Foi Assim” and “Ao pôr do sol.” “It’s such an emotion to be at Theatro da Paz. The Amazônia Jazz Band is an event in itself, a composition of top-notch musicians with a wonderful conductor, and I feel blessed to be here singing with them,” emphasized Sandra.
In addition to the hits sung by the singer, the repertoire also included the songs “Aquarela do Brasil,” “Só danço samba,” “Frevo Sanfonado,” and others. Conductor Eduardo Lima explains that this concert presented a fusion of rhythms and Amazonian music.
“We are in a semester of valuing Paraense and Brazilian music. With the participation of Sandra Duailibe, it was a very special match with the Amazônia Jazz Band, which worked out perfectly,” stated the conductor.
Storyteller Josefa Ribeiro was accompanied by friends and left with renewed energy. “I loved it, we loved it, we are ready to start the week. Their energy is contagious.”
The show is an initiative of the Government of Pará through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult), Theatro da Paz, Paraense Academy of Music (APM) with master sponsorship from the Vale Cultural Institute through the Rouanet Law.
