In Belém, Civil Police arrests man for illegal possession of firearm
The police inquiry was initiated at the Irituia Police Station, due to evidence of illegal firearm sales and money laundering

The Civil Police of Pará, through the Division of Repression to Thefts and Robberies (DRFR), executed a search and seizure warrant against a man, who was caught in the act for the crimes of illegal possession of firearm, ideological falsehood, and forgery of public document, this Tuesday (21), in Belém.
The joint action, in support of the investigation led by the Irituia Police Station and the Regional Superintendence of Salgado, was launched with the aim of locating and seizing firearms, ammunition, cell phones, and other objects related to the illegal trade of weapons. The investigation began from a police inquiry regarding evidence of illegal firearm trade and money laundering.

In total, the following items were seized during the action: one firearm; restricted caliber ammunition; blank medical prescription pads; stamps with names and registrations of health professionals; medications; a forged functional ID of the Military Police (PM), which contained the data and photograph of the suspect, in addition to handcuffs, communication radios, and a cell phone.
According to Arthur Braga, director of the DRFR, the operation resulted in the removal of firearms and forged documents from circulation, highlighting the suspect's dangerousness. “The suspect used a false functional identity of the Military Police, as well as altered medical documents, for possible practices of other crimes,” explained the head of the Division.
All material found was duly collected, cataloged, and presented at the DRFR for legal procedures.

The accused was caught in the act and sent to the police unit for the necessary procedures, where he will remain at the disposal of Justice. The integrated action among security forces reaffirms the institutional commitment to combating criminal organizations and behaviors that threaten public safety.
