Seplad begins the second cycle of monitoring and evaluation workshops for the PPA 2024-2027 Programs
A total of 14 workshops will be held, both in-person and virtual, organized by thematic axes, involving more than 60 executing agencies.

The State Secretariat for Planning and Administration (Seplad) began, on this Monday (20), the second Cycle of Quarterly Monitoring and Evaluation Workshops for the Programs of the Multiannual Plan (PPA) 2024-2027 - 2025 Exercise. A total of 14 workshops will be held, both in-person and virtual, organized by thematic axes, involving more than 60 executing agencies. The meetings will continue until November 5.
The workshops aim to consolidate, in a multisectoral and cross-cutting manner, the monitoring and verification of the performance of the programs in the quarter, focusing on the closure of the current exercise. To this end, physical, financial, and qualitative information recorded in the SigPLAN System will be used, allowing the identification of potential obstacles and the adoption of timely measures to ensure the expected results.

“Our planning process in the state government follows a cycle, and monitoring is a fundamental stage. It evaluates the physical and financial performance of government actions executed through the programs. To enable greater intervention and adjustments in the planned results, Seplad conducts quarterly monitoring workshops. We are holding the second workshop, which covers the period from May to August of this year, bringing together all agencies to present the partial results of the programs and allow each agency to add information and values. This also helps meet the legal requirement to update information monthly in SigPLAN. Additionally, we work with other perspectives and outputs of the information, such as the creation of evaluation reports, which are sent along with the governor's accountability. The information is also used for the preparation of achievements in the government message and for the development of planning management in the state government, aiming to find solutions and ensure the best results in the areas and municipalities of the state,” said the Director of Strategic Planning at Seplad, Socorro Castro.
Among the topics to be addressed are: social assistance rights; higher education; infrastructure and logistics; sports and leisure; health; public safety; environment; citizenship; justice; human rights; among others.

“The monitoring workshops are essential for us to evaluate the conduct and execution of the agency's actions, not only regarding physical targets but also financial performance. The work carried out by Seplad drives our planning, allowing the financial area to seek information, analyze data, and assess how actions are being implemented to achieve the strategic objectives of the PPA 2024-2027. The methodology applied in this second workshop values actions and enables a more complex analysis, encompassing not only the internal view of the agency but also of the entire state of Pará and its agencies, focusing on the greater goal: the common good. It is through the work of the servers and the implementation of public policies that we can respond to society, demonstrating the correct application of resources in works, services, and citizen assistance,” explained server Jaqueline Alves, a member of the Planning Core of the State Secretariat for Tourism (Setur).
In addition to supporting strategic actions of public administration, the data collected and consolidated during the workshops will serve as the basis for the Quarterly Monitoring Report of the PPA 2024-2027 Programs, which will be prepared by Seplad.

“The monitoring meeting serves precisely for us, agencies, to see what stage we are in today within the government program. The PPA is a four-year construction, and we can evaluate how much we have advanced in each action, which is developed jointly. Thus, we can visualize where the agency stands within this planning, how far it has been executed, and where the other partner agencies are as well. Every action is formed by this set, and monitoring is essential for us to see how much we are achieving with this government project, which is actually executed by all these agencies,” highlighted the coordinator of the Strategic Planning Core of the State Secretariat for Economic Development, Mining, and Energy (Sedeme), Walenda Tostes.
The Multiannual Plan (PPA) is the main planning instrument of the government and seeks to promote development allied to sustainability, social inclusion, and economic growth. It is structured by programs and actions aimed at transforming the reality of the state in the coming years.

The cycle of workshops reinforces the state government's commitment to transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness in the execution of public programs, ensuring that resources are applied in a planned manner and oriented towards concrete results.
