CIIR competes for an international award in the Poster category at the Planetree Global Forum in Baltimore (USA)
The Pará center presents five works in the Posters category, which recognizes innovative person-centered care initiatives

The Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR), a health agency of the State government, through the State Department of Public Health (Sespa), participates this Wednesday (15) in the closing ceremony of the Planetree Global Forum, held in Baltimore, USA, where it competes for an international award in the Posters category.
The category highlights successful experiences and projects that strengthen the person-centered care model, recognizing innovative initiatives and inspiring practices adopted by health institutions from different countries.
The CIIR submitted five works that depict actions developed by its multidisciplinary teams: "Sign Language Training in Service: Inclusive, Humanized, and Safe Assistance to Deaf Users"; "Training Axis: Empowering Professionals for the Care of People with ASD"; "Humanization without Borders: Humanized Multidisciplinary Care in Quilombola Communities in the Municipality of Acará (PA)"; "The Impact of Sustainable Environmental Practices at the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation on Engagement in Person-Centered Care", and "Patient-Centered Rehabilitation in Brazil".

During the gala dinner that concludes the event, the Planetree Spirit Award will also be presented to José Neto, the Northern Operational Director of the National Institute for Social and Human Development (INDSH), a social organization that manages the center in partnership with the State Department of Health (Sespa); the Executive Director of CIIR, Rejane Xavier, and the physician Renato Arraes, pediatric orthopedic surgeon and coordinator of the pediatric orthopedics group at CIIR.
Presentations - In addition to the submitted posters, CIIR also showcased two works to the event audience during the international forum. The first, "Evidence-Based Practices in Autism Treatment: An Analysis of Interventions Conducted at Cetea", was presented on Tuesday (14) by CIIR's Communication Advisor, Danielle Carvalho. The second, "Small Steps, Big Changes: The Impact of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeries in Pará", was presented this Wednesday (15) by physician Renato Arraes.
The Planetree Global Forum has been gathering representatives from health institutions worldwide since the beginning of the week, in a broad exchange of experiences on humanization, innovation, and care management.

During the event, CIIR has been standing out by presenting its practices aligned with the Planetree model, reinforcing the commitment of the government of Pará, through Sespa, to increasingly humanized, inclusive, and person-centered assistance.

Reference - CIIR is a state reference in medium and high complexity assistance to people with visual, physical, auditory, and intellectual disabilities. Access to services is made through referrals from health units, via the Municipal Regulation Center, which directs requests to State Regulation. The user's profile is analyzed by the State Regulation System (SER).
