Paraense athletes medalists at the Pan-American Karate Championship thank the support of the government of Pará
In total, six athletes represented the State in the competition and won ten medals

The athletes from Pará who stood out at the Pan-American Karate Championship, held in Bogotá, Colombia, visited the headquarters of the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Seel) to personally thank for the support received from the government of Pará.
In total, six athletes represented the State in the competition and won ten medals, including seven gold, one silver, and two bronze, a result that reinforces Pará's prominence in the international karate scene.

The Pan-American Karate Championship, promoted by the Japan Karate Association (JKA), took place from September 26 to 28, bringing together athletes from various countries in the kata and kumite categories.
During the visit, the medalists highlighted the essential role of state support for participating in one of the most traditional and influential shotokan karate competitions in the world.
The head of Seel, Cássio Andrade, emphasized the investment in sports made by the government of Pará and the athletes' achievements.
"It is a joy to receive our JKA karate athletes, who went to Bogotá, Colombia, representing the State of Pará at the Pan-American Championship, from where they brought ten medals to our State, a great pride for all of us. This shows the investment work in sports done by the government of Pará, through Seel, which has already sponsored more than a thousand athletes this year," said the secretary.
The athlete João Lima, two-time Pan-American kumite champion for the adult team, emphasized the achievement and support from Seel. "I am very happy and, on behalf of all the medalists, I want to thank the government of Pará and Seel for another year of support, not only for us in karate but for all our sports in Pará," the athlete stressed.
