Seven people are arrested in integrated operation by the Civil Police with other public security forces
The police action took place in the surroundings of Ver-o-Peso and is part of Operation Acolher, coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense

In the early morning of this Thursday (09), the Civil Police launched Operation Clock with the aim of curbing drug trafficking in the Cidade Velha neighborhood, more specifically in the area that encompasses the Ver-o-Peso Complex. The police action took place in an integrated manner with the River Grouping (GFLU) and the Municipal Secretary of Security, Public Order, and Mobility of Belém, integrating Operation Acolher, coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup).
The investigations were conducted by the State Narcotics Division (Denarc) and resulted in the arrest of four women and three men in compliance with preventive arrest warrants issued by the Organized Crime Combat Court and the Guarantees Judge Court of the Metropolitan Region of Belém, with two of the arrested individuals also being apprehended in the act.

“During the diligences to comply with the judicial warrants, a man and a woman were caught with a certain amount of narcotic material similar to oxi, 50 rounds of .30 caliber ammunition, and several cell phones. The two apprehended in the act will be charged with drug trafficking, with one of them also facing charges for illegal possession of ammunition,” detailed Delegate Davi Cordeiro, head of Denarc.
Some of the targets are being investigated for being part of a criminal organization. The operation continues in order to identify, locate, and arrest other possible individuals involved in drug trafficking in the Ver-o-Peso region so that the population can have more peace and security.

Operation Acolher - The actions that are part of Operation Acolher are part of a set of strategies for assisting people in social vulnerability who are exposed to violence. Therefore, the State is present to ensure safety and tranquility, acting in this specific action to curb drug trafficking and other offenses that may occur with homeless individuals.
