The Government of the State of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Tourism, launched on this Monday (6), the Visit Pará platform, an innovative initiative aimed at the digital transformation of tourism in the State. In an integrated virtual environment, the platform features a website and application aimed at tourists, public agencies, and local entrepreneurs and is already available at www.visitpara.com.br. The launch event took place at the Government Palace, with the presence of state and municipal authorities, associations, representatives from Sebrae, and the tourism trade.

The platform aims to modernize tourism management, centralizing information about attractions, services, events, and routes in a single environment, which contributes to strengthening governance, improving destination promotion, as well as increasing national and international competitiveness, guiding public policies.

The Governor of the State, Helder Barbalho, considers the platform essential for tourists and entrepreneurs, identifying challenges in the sector and guiding tourist behavior in our State. "The platform will bring important data for decision-making and future strategies that strengthen the sector in the economy. It will allow tourism operators to have information to enhance their activities and expand their operations. Naturally, it will also be a tool for our visitors to better know Pará, with more guidance and quality in the experience," says the governor.

According to Helder, the initiative arises at a time of great visibility for the State, which is experiencing significant growth in national and international tourist interest, driven by events such as COP30. The governor also highlighted investments in tourism infrastructure, with the inauguration of new facilities, including the Amazon Bioeconomy Park, the Amazons Museum, the Porto Futuro Complex, the modernization of Belém airport, waterway terminals, as well as the expansion of the hotel network. "Tourism is a new economic vocation, and we have the main product: Pará, with its natural, cultural, historical, and gastronomic riches," added the head of the state executive.

Governor Helder also emphasized the potential of tourist destinations such as Marajó, Salinópolis, Bragança, Parauapebas, and São Geraldo do Araguaia, in addition to the unique experience with traditional peoples, forests, rivers, and beaches of the Amazon region.

The Deputy Governor, Hana Ghassan, highlighted the development of tourism in the State. "We want tourists, when they arrive here, to know exactly where to go, according to what they are looking for. If they seek a gastronomic experience, they will have recommended restaurants. If they want to visit museums, they will know where they are. And now, with this platform, we have a huge opportunity. But it will only be known if each of us helps to promote it," she stated.

According to the head of Setur, Eduardo Costa, the Secretariat is working to make tourism an economic vector of the State, with sustainable tourism that brings effective results for the people of Pará. "Pará is the first State to use this platform, with all the technological structure, resources that can further impact our tourism. It is our platform, which will have our identity, our enterprises, our handicrafts, our destinations. So, we were concerned to create something standardized, something truly of quality, to be a fundamental element for the growth of the tourism movement in Pará," he said.

For Elizabete Grunvald, president of the ACP, the platform arrived at a very opportune moment. "This solution is very necessary. I congratulate the entire team of the state government that built this platform, and today I am sure that it is the beginning of a week with more deliveries that we are having. So, I want to say that the productive sector never doubted that we will have a great COP in 30 days, happy and rejoicing with so many good things happening. So, this is a construction of everyone, and count on us, the productive sector is here to make this wheel turn more than ever," she pointed out.

Tourists, entrepreneurs (hotels, restaurants, tour operators, associations), and public managers will be able to access the platform for free.

Website and application

The website is already available for access at visitpara.com.br and the application will be available this week for Android and iOS.

Both mirror the functionalities of the web platform, ensuring easy access to information through smooth navigation, interactive maps, personalized itineraries, trails and circuits with detailed information, a catalog of attractions, services, events, and experiences. In addition to multimedia resources, filters, and smart searches. The technology used also allows for offline use, with the download of sections and trails directly to the visitor's device.

Collaborative management

Setur will be the coordinating body, responsible for integrating municipalities and partners, ensuring strategic alignment, and using the data and dashboards of the platform to define public policies and promote tourism in Pará. In addition, Setur managers will be responsible for content filtering. Each municipality, institution, or partner will also have its own account to insert and update content (attractions, events, services). Moderation will be done collaboratively, ensuring editorial autonomy, but within common strategic guidelines.
