Startup Pará Program highlights 20 selected projects in the Innovation Marathons
The proposals, which move on to the Incubation Stage, were evaluated according to criteria of technical feasibility, socio-environmental impact, and innovation, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Innovation Marathons of the Startup Pará Program, promoted by the State Government through the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet), in partnership with the Guamá Science and Technology Park (PCT Guamá) and the Guamá Foundation, which manages the Park, presented significant results in the area of innovation.
With actions that took place from August to September, the Project highlighted the 20 best ideas, which now advance to the Incubation Stage, between October and December 2025. In this phase, each team will receive grants of R$ 3,200.00, via the Guamá Foundation, in addition to continuous support to transform prototypes into minimum viable products (MVPs).

The support includes mentoring in business modeling, market validation, socio-environmental impact, and investment and technology acquisition, as well as practical training in design thinking, prototyping, pitch training, and agile methodologies.
According to the State Secretary of Science, Technology and Higher, Professional and Technological Education, Victor Dias, encouraging new ideas is strategic for the development of Pará. “Each initiative presented in the Innovation Marathons is more than a project; it is an opportunity to transform the reality of our region. The State Government believes in the potential of entrepreneurial youth and invests to ensure that these ideas come to life, advance to the market, and generate real impact in people's lives. Supporting innovation is betting on the sustainable future of the Amazon,” said the head of Sectet.

Interiorization - Held in the municipalities of Belém, Bragança, Santarém, Tucuruí, and Parauapebas, the seven editions of the hackathons brought together more than 200 active participants, who developed solutions focused on three strategic axes: Bioeconomy & Biotechnology, Smart Cities, and Technology with Artificial Intelligence.
During the stages, multidisciplinary teams underwent intensive processes of ideation, prototyping, and pitches, supported by agile methodologies, specialized mentoring, and complete infrastructure. The proposals were evaluated according to criteria of technical feasibility, socio-environmental impact, and innovation, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Selected projects - The 20 selected solutions are: Aç(h)aí (Bragança); Agrogene, Bucará, Coqueiro, Eco Coco, Info + Saúde, Informa AI, Lumi, Olha a Coleta, Organo +, TáVago, VazãoTech, Ver-o-Move, and Veridia (Belém); AquaCircular, AquaSmart, and Iara Tech (Parauapebas); PlantaAi (Santarém), and EDU TUTOR PEI and SintetizaJuz (Tucuruí).
Among the highlights are initiatives related to sustainability, waste management, biotechnology applied to agriculture and health, smart urban mobility, and the use of AI for operational efficiency and public services.
According to the Program coordinator, Renato Cortez, the next step will be crucial to consolidate the projects as innovative and impactful businesses. “Investing in innovation is investing in the sustainable future of the Amazon, connecting technology, entrepreneurship, and regional development. This opportunity, diving into learning, connections, and experimentation, is more than financial support. The grant acts as a lever for the projects to advance and bring innovative solutions that drive the economy and transform local realities,” he emphasized.
Registration and formalization - The selected teams will be contacted and must appoint a lead member, so that they can indicate the person responsible for receiving the grant. From the contact, the leader will fill out the registration with the complete data of the team. All selected teams will also be involved in the Impulso Amazônia Program, with access to the benefits of PCT Guamá.
The incubation stage will conclude with the presentation of the products/projects in a final pitch to a panel of experts and investors, as a way to consolidate the “Startup Pará” Program as a strategic platform for the development of the new economy in the region.
