Seduc visits schools managed by the DRE of Monte Alegre, in western Pará
Managers closely monitor the reality of the school units, reinforcing the State's commitment to advancing learning
Continuing the technical agenda in western Pará, the State Department of Education (Seduc) conducted a visit to the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) of Monte Alegre on Thursday (18). The aim was to align strategies and engage in dialogue with school teams to strengthen public education in the region, which includes the municipalities of Monte Alegre, Almeirim, Alenquer, and Prainha.

The DRE of Monte Alegre serves 22 state schools, including two in rural areas. During the visit, the State Secretary of Education, Ricardo Sefer, visited units in the municipalities of Monte Alegre and Prainha, listening to managers, teachers, and students about the progress made and challenges faced in daily school life.
In the municipality of Monte Alegre, Ricardo Sefer visited the schools Murumuru, Presidente Fernando Henrique, Francisco Nobre de Almeida, and Prefeito Carim Melém, and in Prainha, he visited the state unit Pretextato da Costa Alvarenga.

Direct Listening - The head of Seduc emphasized the importance of being close to the school community to listen and participate in building solutions aligned with the real needs of the state public education network. “When we are in schools, we can better understand the challenges and potential of each territory. This direct listening is essential for us to plan more effective actions and ensure that all students in the state network have access to quality education, with equity and learning opportunities,” highlighted Ricardo Sefer.
According to the DRE director, Professor Jaime Teles, “the presence of the State Secretary of Education on the ground of our schools symbolizes the firm commitment of the state government to valuing public education. By closely understanding our realities, Secretary Ricardo Sefer, through the State, will be able to make targeted investments that strengthen the school community and place at the center of the educational process what truly matters: the learning of our students.”

The visit is part of a schedule developed by Seduc, which covers the Pará territory, emphasizing pedagogical monitoring, valuing school management, and strengthening actions that ensure the right to learning for students in the state public network. The DRE of Monte Alegre was the ninth visited by Secretary Ricardo Sefer, among the 40 existing in the State.
