The event will bring together more than five thousand student-athletes aged 15 to 17 from all regions of Brazil

From September 10 to 25, Brasília (DF) will host the largest multi-sport student competition in the country: the Youth Games 2025. Pará will participate with a delegation of 217 members, including athletes, coaches, and officials, who will represent the state in 15 sports, with the support of the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel). The event will gather more than five thousand student-athletes aged 15 to 17 from all regions of Brazil.

Organized by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), the event will have its opening ceremony on the 10th at 6 PM at the International Convention Center of Brazil, which will also host most of the competitions, in addition to the Community Center, restaurant, and organization.

The first part of the Pará delegation has already departed for the Games

The Pará delegation, with 52 athletes, departed for the federal capital on the night of this Sunday (7). The first block of competitions includes athletics, cycling, artistic gymnastics, swimming, and table tennis. On September 12, it will be the turn of the second group, which will compete in wrestling (Olympic wrestling), basketball, futsal, and beach volleyball. The third and final block is scheduled for the 18th of this month, with badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, taekwondo, handball, and volleyball.

The Secretary of Sports and Leisure of Pará, Cássio Andrade, highlighted the state government's investment in the delegation. "The Youth Games are a showcase for the future of Brazilian sports, and Pará could not be left out. We are ensuring conditions for our young athletes to have the structure and motivation to compete at a high level. They are the present and future of Pará's sports, and our commitment is to invest in every talent that represents the colors of our state," he stated.

Athlete Ryan Christian, 17, from the athletics category, expressed his excitement to compete for the first time in a national edition. "It is a dream to represent Pará in such a significant event. I have been training very hard and hope to achieve good results for our state. Just going to this competition is already a victory, but I want to show all the work we have been doing with dedication," the athlete emphasized.

With the return to the Federal District, where the first edition was held in 2000, the competition will feature 20 sports and will have Olympic ambassadors in each of them, reinforcing the formative nature of the event.
