Amazonia Jazz Band Show Enchants Audience in Abaetetuba
The action is part of an initiative by the Government of Pará to democratize culture in the state

On the night of this Saturday (30), the Amazonia Jazz Band performed at the Usina da Paz in the municipality of Abaetetuba, in northeastern Pará, and enchanted the audience with an eclectic repertoire, under the direction of the principal conductor, Eduardo Lima.
The initiative is a realization of the Government of Pará, through the state secretariats of Culture (Secult) and Articulation and Citizenship (Seac), Theatro da Paz, Paraense Academy of Music (APM) and is part of the Sons da Paz project, which reaffirms the State Government's commitment to democratizing access to culture. The action also has the master sponsorship of the Vale Cultural Institute via the Federal Law of Incentive to Culture.

The Big Band from Theatro da Paz played classics and hits of regional, national, and international music. The show also featured a typical Jazz Band choreography and got the audience dancing with a sequence of cumbia, merengue, and lambada.
The notary clerk Sílvia Maciel took her children to enjoy a family program and left renewed by the power of the concert. "It was a very authentic show from our Amazon and it touched me a lot. I am here with my children, who are in love and enchanted by what they saw. Congratulations to Usina da Paz, to the production, it was amazing, only compliments and I highly recommend it," she said.
The Sons da Paz project aims to democratize access to culture by bringing artistic bodies beyond the spaces of Theatro da Paz.

For saxophonist Max Tavares, each show is a different learning experience. "Being with the Amazon here in Abaetetuba is always a joy, a real show. It is an enriching experience, always with very good energy from both the band and the audience."
