The workshop began in Santa Bárbara on August 26 at the auditorium of the Gunma Ecological Park. Subsequently, the training was held in Castanhal on the 27th at the SECULT Auditorium – Secretary of Culture and Tourism, and concluded in Curuçá on the 28th, where 19 businesses were included in the national system after Setur's action. All tourism service providers from the municipalities were invited to participate and enhance their knowledge about registration, public policies, credit lines, and promoting their services.

NATIONAL REGISTRATION - The Registration of Tourism Service Providers (Cadastur) is the official system of the Ministry of Tourism for the registration of individuals and legal entities operating in the tourism sector in Brazil. Created by Law No. 11,771/2008, Cadastur aims to promote the formalization and regulation of tourism activities, ensuring that providers meet legal requirements and operate transparently and safely.

The system covers various categories, such as accommodation, travel agencies, tourist transport companies, tour guides, event organizers, theme parks, tourist camps, among others. Registration is mandatory for some of these activities and optional for others, but always recommended to ensure access to benefits and opportunities in the sector.

The main objectives of Cadastur include formalization and regulation to ensure that tourism service providers operate in accordance with current legislation, promoting legality and transparency in the sector; qualification and training to improve the quality of services provided; access to benefits such as credit lines with reduced interest rates and safety for tourists, ensuring that consumers can consult and choose tourism service providers that meet legal and quality standards, promoting trust in the destination.

Margarete Carvalho, manager of Qualification of Tourism Services at Setur, highlighted the importance of the workshops: “The goal is to promote oversight, organization, and legality of providers in the municipalities, as well as to highlight advantages such as participation in qualification programs, access to credit lines in accredited banks, visibility on the Cadastur website, and opportunities for integration with government projects aimed at tourism development,” she pointed out.

The initiative reinforces the importance of professionalization for tourism activity, generating relevant economic and social impacts, such as job and income generation, strengthening the local economy, and valuing regional culture.
