Pará expands women's qualification with free courses from Capacita COP30
Initiative in partnership with Cielo offers training in English, Financial Management, and Digital Entrepreneurship, prioritizing women entrepreneurs, black, and indigenous.

The Government of Pará, through the Capacita COP30 Program, continues to accept registrations for free courses in English, Financial Management, and Digital Entrepreneurship. The initiative is carried out in partnership with Cielo, through the Impulsiona Cielo Amazônia project, and prioritizes women entrepreneurs and workers in commerce, with special attention to black and indigenous women. Registrations are available on the website capacitacop30.pa.gov.br.
The goal of the training is to strengthen small businesses and expand income generation opportunities. “By investing in the training of women entrepreneurs, we are strengthening not only businesses but entire communities. COP30 is a milestone that requires preparation and responsibility, and our commitment is to ensure that these women are at the forefront, driving the local economy and leaving a legacy of inclusion and development for Pará,” said the Secretary of Science, Technology, Higher, Professional and Technological Education of Pará (Sectet), Victor Dias.
For Cielo's People, Management, and Performance leader, Angélica Campos, the initiative goes far beyond qualification: it is a bet on the future of the region. “We are happy to join forces with the Government of the State of Pará to promote Impulsiona Cielo Amazônia within Capacita COP30. When we invest in women entrepreneurs and strengthen the local economy, we are not only creating opportunities but building a legacy of inclusive, sustainable, and transformative development for all of the Amazon. This is our commitment: to support those who dream and turn dreams into reality,” she emphasized.

Entrepreneur Ana Cardoso, from Ilha do Combu, has already participated in other courses offered by the Capacita COP30 Program and has now enrolled in the Financial Management class. For her, the qualification represents an essential step in her journey as a local entrepreneur. “I am sure that this course will add a lot to my professional life because it will help me better organize my business and open new doors for growth. I also see it as a great opportunity to showcase the work I do on Ilha do Combu and to qualify for the demand that COP will bring. It is a chance that we all need to seize,” she said.
Since its creation, Capacita COP30 has already achieved over 25,000 certifications in courses in the areas of tourism, gastronomy, infrastructure, and security. With the partnership with Cielo, the program expands its reach to commerce and women's entrepreneurship, reinforcing its strategic role in preparing the population for the opportunities that the UN climate conference will bring to Pará.
