ParáPaz Foundation opens registrations for free English and German courses
Qualification prepares young people for the job market and major events such as COP30 (30th Global Conference on Climate Change)

Registrations are open for the quick and free English and German courses promoted by the ParáPaz Foundation. Adolescents from 15 years old, as well as young people and adults interested in strengthening their resumes, can participate. Registrations are in person and must be made at the João Paulo II Unit in Belém.
The initiative aims to equip participants for practical and functional communication with foreign visitors during major events, such as the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will take place in November in the capital of Pará.

The coordinator of the ParáPaz João Paulo II unit, Denise Braga, emphasizes that the teaching will be direct and objective. Students will have access to simulated dialogues and exercises that replicate real situations, such as guiding tourists, providing information about transportation, accommodation, and tourist attractions.
“We want participants to be able to introduce themselves, give basic information about the city, assist tourists, and even create professional connections. The proposal is not to teach lengthy grammar content, but rather to offer quick and functional learning to be used right at COP30,” she explained.
Other qualifications
In addition to languages, the ParáPaz Foundation also invests in another strategic area for the market: the course on “Digital Content Production and Marketing for COP30,” currently underway with 42 students. The training teaches how to plan, create, and disseminate digital content to boost businesses and expand the reach of entrepreneurs looking for opportunities with the conference.

28-year-old Diego Nascimento, who has worked in the administrative area, sees the course as a chance for a fresh start. “I discovered that ParáPaz offers free courses that are usually expensive. I’m already thinking about investing more in this area because I have the basic resources, like a cell phone. This initiative opens doors for those, like me, who want to learn a new profession, gain clients, and generate income,” he celebrates.
32-year-old student Thayane Souza also highlights the transformation in her journey. “I was away from the market to take care of my young daughter, and now I’m looking to reposition myself. The course is opening my mind to new ways of working and tools that I didn’t know. I’m confident it will help me get a job,” she hopes.
From March to August, the João Paulo II unit also offered courses in areas such as Administrative Assistant, Ceremonial and Event Reception, Communication and Oratory, Paid Traffic in Practice, and a series of lectures for entrepreneurs, certifying 200 people.
