Marujada de Bragança enchants audience at the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book and Multivoices Fair
Presentation promoted by the Cultural Foundation of Pará highlighted the tradition of northeastern Pará

The traditional Marujada de Bragança moved the audience at the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book and Multivoices Fair on the night of this Wednesday (20). The presentation took place at the booth of the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) and was one of the highlights of the program dedicated to valuing the art produced in the northeastern part of the State.
“It is an honor to be part of this Marujada and to show our culture to those who do not know it. It is very gratifying to see people amazed, asking questions and being enchanted by our tradition. The Fair is an opportunity to spread Pará's culture, the culture of Bragança, throughout Pará, Brazil, and the world,” highlighted group member, Cíntia Gabriele.

Cultural heritage that moves
The audience enthusiastically followed the rhythm and strength of the cultural manifestation, recognized as an intangible heritage of the State of Pará. History teacher Rosy Anne Soares, who returned to Pará after ten years, highlighted the emotion of reconnecting with the tradition. “This is the first time I have come back to visit the Fair after many years away from the State, and I was very happy to find the Marujada. It is a unique manifestation that only Pará can show, and I was very impressed to see this heritage being celebrated here,” she reported.
