This is the first time entrepreneur Ronaldo Curuperé, who has been working for almost 40 years with the construction of musical instruments made from forest materials, participates in the Creative Fair, a space that boosts handicrafts and the creative economy during the 28th Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivoices in Belém. This edition, which takes place at Hangar - Center for Conventions and Fairs of the Amazon, until next Friday (22), brings together 36 enterprises.

“It is a space for the union of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and cultural appreciation. I am very happy with the opportunity to showcase my work to many people because we know that the movement of the Fair is enormous. As a child, I played with these elements from the forest, and I discovered that I could transform them into musical instruments without cutting down the forest. I use Brazil nut hedgehogs and dry coconuts, among other elements,” said Ronaldo.

Entrepreneurship, sustainability, and cultural appreciation are present at the Creative Fair

Handicrafts, art, bio-jewelry, literary articles, perfumery, clothing, gastronomy, and cultural products are some of the items sold at the Creative Fair, distributed across 18 stalls, with alternating entrepreneurs. The curation of the professionals was carried out via Sebrae (Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Enterprises) to foster entrepreneurship. The expectation for this edition is that the Book Fair and Multivoices, in all fronts, will generate around R$ 18 million.

Visibility - Since 2019, the Collective Pretas Paridas da Amazônia has participated in the Creative Fair. This Tuesday (19), it was entrepreneur Carla Baía's turn to bring bags, clothes, and accessories to the space. “We always arrive with great expectations for the Fair because we know we will have enormous visibility, a very good financial return, in addition to strengthening the art and culture of Pará, with works that showcase our identity. The rotation among entrepreneurs allows more professionals to have the opportunity to be here,” said Carla.

Visitor of the literary event, circular fashion entrepreneur Fernanda Marques always seeks to support the Creative Fair. “It is a wonderful space, an immense opportunity for entrepreneurs to sell their products. It is beautiful to see the stalls, which are colorful, with many creative items that value our State. I recommend everyone to come and explore all the corners of the Book Fair,” she emphasized.

Student Isabele Costa visited the Book Fair for the first time this Tuesday. “I lived in Cametá (a municipality in northeastern Pará) and always wanted to come. I grew up in a family of teachers who encouraged reading, and I love this world. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Creative Fair, and I was able to meet and appreciate the work of Pará entrepreneurs. I am loving the experience,” said Isabele.

Service: The 28th Pan-Amazonian Book Fair and Multivoices, held by the State Department of Culture (Secult), started on Saturday (16) and continues until next Friday (22), from 9 am to 10 pm, with entry until 9 pm, at Hangar, in Belém. The Creative Fair is located at the end of the corridor, to the right of the main gate of Hangar.
