On next Thursday (21), at 8 PM, the Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz (OSTP) returns to activities for the second semester with the show “A Franco-Brazilian Musical Dialogue”, a celebration of the friendship between Brazil and France, under the direction of guest conductor Michael Cousteau, with participation from soloists Bruno Belthoise and Lígia Moreno, on the centenary stage of TP.

For soloist Lígia Moreno, it is an honor and a reason for joy to perform for the first time with the Symphony of Theatro da Paz. “I am very happy to be participating in this tour, which commemorates and celebrates the relationship between France and Brazil through artistic expression. The expectation for the concert is the best,” said Lígia.

The repertoire includes works by French, Portuguese, and Brazilian composers, among them Heitor Villa-Lobos, Francis Poulenc, Cibelle Donza, and Maurice Ravel, and features music from the 20th century, such as “Bachianas Brasileiras No. 4 (1942, 20’),” “Concerto pour deux pianos en ré mineur (1932, 20’)” and “Daphnis et Chloé, suite d’orchestre No. 2 (1913, 16’).”

World Premiere - The audience will also witness the world premiere of the work “Fantasy for two pianos and orchestra on themes by Rui Mingas (Angola) - premiere 2025, 12’,” by Pará composer Cibelle Donza. Lígia Moreno explains that the composer’s work is inspired by themes from Angolan composer Rui Mingas. “It is quite interesting, with a rhythmic richness. I am very curious to see how it will sound together with the Orchestra,” says the artist.

According to the soloist, the audience can expect a beautiful and vibrant show. “It is an extremely creative composition, captivating and that holds the audience's attention from the first chord,” she assures.

The initiative is from the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult), Theatro da Paz, and the Pará Academy of Music (APM) in partnership with the Embassy of France.

Tickets cost R$ 2.00 and can be purchased starting at 9 AM on the 21st through the Ticket Fácil website (ticketfacil.com.br) and at the box office of Theatro da Paz.
