Rafaela Savedra – student and intern at MPPA. "Grateful for the opportunity to help save lives."

The Pará Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology Foundation (Hemopa) held an external blood donation campaign on Thursday (14) at the Public Ministry of the State of Pará (MPPA), in the Cidade Velha neighborhood of Belém. The action was carried out in partnership with both institutions and aimed to expand access to donation and reinforce the strategic stock of blood bags in the State.

To facilitate service to volunteers, Hemopa provided complete infrastructure, with the presence of a mobile collection unit and a room specially set up within the MPPA premises. The decentralized format allowed employees, collaborators, and partners of the agency to participate without the need to travel to the hemocenter headquarters.

The mobilization is part of Hemopa's strategy to bring the blood donation service closer to different audiences, strengthening institutional partnerships and encouraging social responsibility.

Alice Loureiro, a social worker at Hemopa, highlighted that the mobilization continues until 5 PM, with great participation from MPPA employees and neighboring institutions. "This is an important moment for Hemopa, for the Public Ministry, and especially for the patients who will be the main beneficiaries," she stated.

Akássia Ribeiro – Human Resources Department of MPPA "Partnership reinforces the public mission and encourages donation all year round."

For Akássia Ribeiro from the Human Resources Department of MPPA, the campaign reinforces the institution's mission to act for the well-being of the population. "This partnership fosters our public function and helps to stimulate donation not only today but throughout the year. Our expectation is to exceed the goals of previous campaigns, also counting on the support of partner agencies in the region, such as TRE, TJ, Public Defender, Fire Department, and Banpará," she emphasized.

Among the volunteers, UFPA Administration student and MPPA intern, Rafaela Savedra, donated blood for the second time. "The first was to help a friend's father. Today, I feel very grateful for the opportunity and for the feeling of being able to save lives with this gesture," she reported.
