State revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized, on Sunday (03), 15 tons of chemical products, valued at R$ 198,006.00. The cargo left Vitória de Santo (PE), heading to Belém (PA). The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Gurupi, located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeast of Pará, on the border with Maranhão.

"After the start of the inspection and delivery of the tax documents, the officials, upon analyzing the invoices, verified that the recipient was a consortium that is not a tax-paying entity, and that the cargo did not collect the differential rate (Difal) due, according to current legislation,” informed the coordinator of the tax unit, Gustavo Bozola.

The cargo was retained and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 38,207.61, referring to the tax and fine.
