Two people were arrested and about 1.4 kilograms of drugs were seized by the Military Police of Pará, in Canaã dos Carajás, this Tuesday (22), in yet another successful action by the 23rd Battalion of the PM. The operation was motivated by information provided by the population through the Disque-Denúncia and resulted in the seizure of stones resembling crack, a bar of substance appearing to be marijuana, two precision scales, and R$ 121 in cash.
According to the deputy commander of the 23rd BPM, Captain Guimarães, police intelligence and the use of statistical data have been fundamental for the corporation's actions. "We frequently use crime mapping, in addition to information from the Disque-Denúncia. This allows us to intensify patrols in more sensitive areas, enabling immediate action in flagrant situations," explained the officer.

According to him, after receiving the report, PM teams conducted searches to the indicated location, where they found two men consuming a substance resembling crack. During the approach, 810g of the drug were found, in addition to 525g of marijuana. The suspects and the seized material were taken to the municipal police station for legal procedures.
