The Brazilian reinterpretation of the contemporary classic "Three Tall Women" addresses the coexistence of people at different stages of life. The conflicts and joys that unite the characters will be seen by the audience in Pará at the Margarida Schivasappa Theater in Belém, next Saturday (26) at 8 PM, and Sunday (27) at 6 PM.

The plot comes to the stage with actresses Suely Franco, Deborah Evelyn, and Fernanda Nobre, who play the three women, referred to only as A, B, and C. A, who is over 90 years old, is played by Suely Franco; B, who is 50, is played by Deborah Evelyn; and C, the youngest, is played by Fernanda Nobre.

They begin to coexist because A is ill and shares her life stories with B and C. The play brings to the stage three women, but the central themes are time and the ways of dealing with aging.

Written by Edward Albee in 1991 and released in 1994, the play has a narrative with autobiographical characteristics as it uses the experiences of his mother, the inspiration for the oldest character, in the context of social prejudices, the hypocrisy of the upper-middle-class American, and machismo.

Fernando Philbert, the director of the play, who has won several awards, says that the play highlights "issues regarding the youth's perspective on old age, about the 50-year-old person who also thinks they know everything, and fundamentally, about what we do with the time we have left. Despite the deep themes, the play is a comedy where we laugh at ourselves."
