At Hospital Abelardo Santos, Sespa discusses guidelines to improve the public health network
The aim of the meeting is to implement the National Policy for Organization in Hospitals, in order to enhance the services provided by the state health network to the population
The Dr. Abelardo Santos Regional Hospital (HRAS), in the Icoaraci District of Belém, hosted on this Monday (14), in room 1 of the Department of Education and Research (DEP), the "Ordinary Meeting of the Technical Chamber of Hospital Humanization (CTH-H)", promoted by the State Department of Public Health (Sespa), with the aim of dialoguing with health institutions of the Government of Pará about the process of humanization, the action plan, and guidelines that can improve services, flows, and work processes.

"The purpose of the committee meeting is precisely to implement 'The National Policy for Organization in Hospitals', being an opportunity to share experiences in the hubs. Previously, each committee of their respective hospitals holds a meeting to present their experiences. From this, each hospital brings the experiences to this larger group, which is the committee held today. Then, we discuss how the processes are being developed in the locations, and we share these experiences," explained Aline Pinto, representative of the State Coordination of Humanization of Sespa.
Monthly, Sespa facilitates the meeting, with the participation of representatives from all units that have the Hospital Technical Chamber. In the meeting held at "Abelardo Santos", representatives from "Metropolitana 1", composed of state hospitals from the Metropolitan Region of Belém (RBM), were present.
Exchange - Watuzi Rebelo, Humanization analyst at the Dr. Roberto Macedo Emergency Room (PSRM) in Belém, highlighted that the Technical Chamber Meeting is an important exchange between hospitals. Each hospital has its profile, but we know that there is always something more, bringing a new experience. For example, here at 'Abelardo Santos' we learned about the 'QR Code for birthday celebrants', which is a great idea. In fact, I intend to adapt it for PSRM. This exchange of experience is advocated by the National Policy of Humanization (PNH). This transversality of knowledge and know-how, implemented in public health in Pará, enhances the service," he stated.
Sharing the same initiative, the vice-president of the Humanization Committee of HRAS, Radharani Andrade, said that the Ordinary Meeting provides the union of Government projects. "For the service across the network to be excellent, we need to know each one, and everyone has their own profile and different actions. When 'Abelardo Santos' hosts the meeting, and the representatives of the hospitals know our actions and structure, it is a way to share projects and, if possible, be adapted in another location, being a different model and improving even more. It is an open range of ideas, as a committee," she added.
Structure – HRAS maintains an infrastructure of 28,000 square meters of built area and offers 11 specialties: vascular, urology, thoracic and gynecological and pediatric surgeries, mastology, endoscopy, general and spine neurosurgery, general clinic, and obstetrics. It has 360 beds, including Intensive Care Unit (ICU), for adults and children, with 24-hour service.
