In Curuçá, Government delivers daycare from the program 'Daycares All Over Pará'
The tenth daycare delivered by the program reinforces the commitment of the Government of Pará to provide quality care and education for children and their families

A colorful and vibrant space, designed to stimulate creativity and child development, was delivered to the families of the Village of Abade, in the municipality of Curuçá, northeastern Pará. This Friday (11), another unit of early childhood education from the 'Daycares All Over Pará' Program, an initiative of the State Government coordinated by the State Department of Education (Seduc), was inaugurated. The delivery represents more modern infrastructure and a firm step in the commitment to public, free, and quality early childhood education, one of the current administration's priorities.
"The delivery of this facility represents a very important step for the city of Curuçá. It is a fundamental structure to improve and expand the offer of early childhood education, so that the City Hall can welcome our children in an excellent space. This daycare certainly raises the standard of early childhood education in the municipality and contributes to the advancement of our State. The goal of the State Government is to create 30,000 new spots for children aged 0 to 5 years. Besides the educational importance, daycares also have a social role: allowing parents to leave their children in a safe environment, so they can work and seek their income with peace of mind, knowing their children are well protected," highlights Helder Barbalho, governor of Pará.
More than just walls and a roof, the new daycare is a home of discoveries and affection. There are nine classrooms where the little ones will learn to share and express themselves. A multipurpose room will be the stage for play, stories, and moments of togetherness. In addition, there are five bathrooms that ensure care and hygiene, essential for the well-being of the children.

"It is gratifying to witness the union of efforts, materialized in the delivery of works like this, being close to the population, listening to their needs, and engaging in dialogue is the hallmark of our Government. This proximity makes a difference, as it allows us to experience reality and understand the demands of each citizen; we recognize that there is still much to be done, but it is evident that we have overcome the challenges of the past and entered a moment of prosperity. We believe that the inauguration of this daycare, like other ongoing works, is a testament to our progress," says Hana Ghassan, vice-governor of Pará.
The new unit, named 'Professor Antonia da Conceição Raiol e Silva', will significantly expand the availability of spots in early childhood education in the municipality, helping to meet the demand of numerous families who are waiting for a safe educational environment for their children. The total investment in the construction is R$ 3,233,996.20.
"For us, it is a great satisfaction to deliver the children's unit. We are fully aware of the challenges of providing public services, which makes this delivery even more significant for our entire team. With this inauguration, we fulfill the mission of delivering a work worthy of the municipality," says Ricardo Sefer, interim secretary of the State Department of Education.

There is also a structure designed for those who dedicate their lives to caring for children, including an office, coordination room, teachers' lounge, pantry, kitchen, and storage, spaces that ensure care from the inside out.
With 15 years in the education field, Vanessa Santos, the unit's director, states that she is in love with the space and that the facility will help mothers who need to work. "It is a great fortune that the community is receiving this gift, which has come to change and bring a whole new meaning to education, especially for the residents of Abade. I am in love with it, I am passionate about education, I believe it will make all the difference, especially for mothers entering the job market. I was very happy to be able to contribute to the management of the daycare; I know the responsibility of caring for early childhood education, the care, and I accepted immediately," said the director.
For the babies, a special refuge has been created, with a nursery, lactation room, breastfeeding area, and changing table, because the beginning of life needs all the love and attention that only a place made with love can offer.
"When I arrived and saw the space, I found it calm, it was good. On one hand, it is difficult because I have to leave my daughter all day, but we need to work and there is no other way. From what the staff said, I can leave her here all day, so that helps a lot. My family also supports me. So I decided to try, especially because it is a safe space," says Delzivane Farias, a mother.

Outside, the sun and wind will embrace childhood with a sand playground, a gathering court, a garden that invites enchantment, and even an outdoor shower to refresh the days of play.
About the initiative – The 'Daycares All Over Pará' program marks a historic moment for the State. For the first time, the Government of Pará is implementing a large-scale initiative aimed at expanding access to early childhood education. The program will benefit around 30,000 families, with special attention to mothers in situations of social vulnerability, who face the daily challenge of balancing caring for their children and the need to work.
In total, more than R$ 400 million are being invested in the construction of 150 daycares distributed throughout the State, aimed at serving children aged 0 to 5 years. In municipalities with higher population density, two units will be built, further expanding the availability of spots and the reach of the initiative.
The effort is already beginning to transform realities. Units have been delivered in various municipalities, such as Belém, Oriximiná, Ananindeua, Benevides, Redenção, Cumaru do Norte, Bannach, Almeirim, Melgaço, and now in Curuçá. Each one representing an important step in building a fairer and more promising future for the children of Pará and their families.
