Suspects arrested for planning the execution of a military police officer in Ponta de Pedras
The suspects will face charges of aggravated criminal association and drug trafficking. A teenager was apprehended during the operation.

The Civil Police of Pará, with the support of the Military Police, arrested three men and apprehended a teenager for involvement in criminal association and drug trafficking in the municipality of Ponta de Pedras, in Marajó. The operation, which began on Tuesday (8) and was completed on Thursday (10), was triggered after investigations pointed to a plan to assassinate a military police officer in the city.
“After the police received information that members of a criminal faction were organizing the execution of a public security agent, an integrated operation was set up to investigate the report and identify those involved,” explained delegate Gabriel Gonçalves.
The suspects were identified during the investigations. They were allegedly sent at the behest of the faction to commit the crime. Three of them were arrested in the operation. A fourth involved, for whom a warrant has already been requested, remains at large. The other, a teenager, was apprehended and confessed to participating in the plan, stating that he was monitoring the victim along with an accomplice. There are indications that both were armed with a revolver.
During the approaches, one of the involved was caught with five portions of a substance analogous to cocaine, which was seized and sent for examination.
The suspects will face charges of aggravated criminal association and drug trafficking. The teenager was apprehended for an act analogous to the crimes. A Circumstantial Occurrence Bulletin (BOC) was filed for him, with a suggestion for internment to the Public Ministry.
All those involved were taken to the police station and remain at the disposal of the Justice. The police team is working to locate the fugitive suspect.
