State delivers over 700 prescription glasses to residents of Igarapé-Miri
The delivery, which took place at the Aurino Quirino Gonçalves Cultural Center, ensured better visual health and quality of life for the population

More than 700 residents of Igarapé-Miri, in Baixo Tocantins, received free prescription glasses on Thursday (10) through the "For All of Them" program, an initiative of the Government of Pará aimed at promoting citizenship and visual health.
The delivery, held at the Aurino Quirino Gonçalves Cultural Center, refers to the ophthalmological services offered on May 23, during the program's visit to the municipality.
In total, 790 glasses were delivered, directly benefiting the population with more dignity and autonomy for daily life.
Present at the ceremony, the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth de Fátima Braga, emphasized the importance of the action. "The For All of Them program is a public policy designed with great care, bringing citizenship, health, and self-esteem to those who need it most. Delivering these glasses ensures that the population can live with more dignity, perform their activities more easily, and feel valued," she stated.

One of the residents benefited by the action was housewife Maria de Fátima, 58, who had not been able to replace her glasses for over a decade due to financial constraints. "I could hardly see anything with my old glasses, which were all scratched and weak for my sight. I hadn't been able to replace them for over 10 years due to lack of means. Today I'm leaving here with a new pair, seeing much better and with a heart full of gratitude," she shared.

Soraya Borges, 39, was anxiously waiting for her new glasses. "My old glasses were already weak, and I felt a lot of headaches while working and reading. Now, with this new pair, everything is clearer and more comfortable. I was very happy with the service and with the care the Government had for us," she said.
For All of Them - The delivery of glasses is part of a set of integrated actions offered by the "For All of Them" program, which also includes medical, legal, psychosocial services, document issuance, and aesthetic services. Since its inception, the program has traveled to different regions of the State, promoting inclusion and expanding access to basic rights.

Resident Regina Barbosa, 59, highlighted the importance of the action for those who cannot afford the cost of ophthalmological care. "This project came at the right time and changed the reality of many women from Igarapé-Miri. It was a blessing, especially for the opportunity for many needy people to have free prescription glasses. I thank you for the quality ophthalmological consultation I had and for the Government offering these services here in the city," she said.
Service - People who could not participate in the delivery on Thursday (10) can go to the Municipal Social Assistance Secretariat (Semas), at Av. Sesquicentenário, to pick up their glasses, upon presentation of an official photo identification document.
