Modernization works at the Citizenship Station advance in the Icoaraci District of Belém
The unit is part of a set of six Stations in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, providing services from municipal, state, and federal agencies in one location

The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Planning and Administration (Seplad), continues its commitment to ensuring quality public services for the people of Pará. As part of this goal, the modernization works at the Icoaraci Citizenship Station have already reached 18% completion.
The Icoaraci Citizenship Station is one of six units that make up the Metropolitan Region of Belém, bringing together various municipal, state, and federal agencies in one location. By May 2025, the unit had conducted over 18,000 services, reinforcing its importance to the population.
Gabriel Perez, Deputy Secretary of Modernization and Administrative Management at Seplad, emphasizes that the State is committed to making the Citizenship Stations more modern and functional for the population and the employees who work there.

“Currently, the Icoaraci Citizenship Station is undergoing significant modernization of its physical structure, focusing on the quality of service to citizens, but also on valuing the employees. Among the ongoing services is the construction of an air-conditioned cafeteria, which will provide more comfort to the employees who work daily at the unit. The renovation of the men's and women's restrooms is also nearing completion, with adaptations aimed at accessibility and user well-being. The modernization of the unit is yet another demonstration of the State Government's commitment to the population and to the employees. We are investing in infrastructure to ensure a more suitable, accessible, and efficient environment, both for those who work and for those seeking service. Our goal is to make the Citizenship Stations increasingly humane, modern, and functional,” highlighted the secretary.
The unit is also undergoing internal interventions, including floor replacement, ceiling work, painting, and adjustments to the air conditioning. Additionally, the facade will also be modernized with ACM (Aluminium Composite Material) panels, which will make the space even better prepared to serve the population with comfort and dignity.

Various free services in one space
At the unit, it is possible to issue identity cards (Civil Police); first registration, category change, and property transfer (Detran); unemployment insurance, job registration, and referral to the Job Market (Seaster); inclusion of insured holders and dependents, information about the Plan and Accredited Network, and Release of Health Procedures (Iasep), among other services from state agencies.

Miguel Filho, a truck driver, visited the Icoaraci Citizenship Station for the first time and praised the initiative of bringing various services together in one location. “Now it’s much better, it has made things a lot easier. In the past, we could only solve problems at the agencies' headquarters, the service took a long time, there was scheduling and a lot of people. I have been living in Portugal for three years and haven’t been to Brazil, and this was a novelty for me. This project makes our lives much easier and the service is great,” said the truck driver.
“It will get even better, not just for me, but for the people in the neighborhood and from other places. The service will be even better,” added the worker.
