The State Department of Education (Seduc) concluded, in the municipality of Altamira, in the southwest of Pará, the training cycle of the 'Saeb Caravan' in the first semester of 2025. The closing marked an important moment of mobilization and qualification of the educational leaders of the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) of Altamira, focusing on the challenges and goals of the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) this year.

During the meeting, directors, vice-directors of state schools in the region, and technical teams were present. The program focused on reading the local educational scenario, analyzing the results obtained in previous assessments, and building strategies to enhance student proficiency and school flow.

“This week, we concluded the first semester with many achievements and significant deliveries from the Department of Education. I want to highlight the fundamental role of the leadership of each education professional, as it is through them that progress is realized. We have already covered more than 80% of the regional offices with the Caravan, which reinforces that we are on the right track with the actions developed so far,” said Júlio Meireles, Deputy Secretary of Basic Education at Seduc.

By promoting spaces for reflection and planning, the initiative strengthens the performance of management teams and expands the capacity of schools to face challenges with focus, strategy, and collaboration.

“Among the strategies, we highlight the reorganization of classes by performance, daily attendance monitoring, active search conducted by teacher William, home visits, and incentives such as awards for attendance and performance. We applied simulations with feedback and certification for the best students, and we continue to seek partnerships and new actions to ensure permanence and learning. In 2023, we made significant progress and want to grow even more in 2025,” reported Manoel Ribeiro, director of the Melvin Jones State School in the municipality of Uruará.

The conclusion of the Caravan this semester reinforces the commitment of the state education network to the continuous improvement of educational quality.

“Teamwork is one of the greatest strengths of our school. We act collaboratively, always focused on student learning. This unity has reflected in good results, such as performance in the Saeb. We highlight the collective effort in actions with the 3rd-year classes, especially after leveling based on proficiency assessment. We overcame initial challenges through dialogue and unity, reinforcing the importance of assessment as a tool for valuing teaching work and quality public education in Pará,” highlighted Luzia Bernardes, director of the Ducilla Almeida do Nascimento State School in the municipality of Altamira.

From this meeting, the leaders of DRE Altamira are better prepared to lead concrete actions in their school communities, aligned with the commitment to raise learning indicators towards Saeb 2025.
